Bought a cop trade-in Glock 17 Gen 5 with fading night sights. Solid deals available on cop guns as they get traded in for MOS models.

Attention California gun owners

Oh, and the last gun I bought was a Glock 30SF (45ACP).

I already had the G17 and recently bought a Sig M18. All in all I like it but I give the Glocks the preference in shooting and the Sig in carrying. The lower bore axis makes the Glock(s) point and shoot nicer and faster in my hands. If the Glocks had a manual safety like the Sig I'd likely never have bought it. After 30 years of Glock ownership I will only carry them with no round in the chamber.

I'm still a revolver guy at heart but I can't not have a high capacity pistol around . They are so reliable now with good ammo I don't give that advantage to revolvers like I did in the old days.

By the way I got some time getting to know that Bodyguard 2 recently. It's amazing size wise and the feel is not bad at all for something so small. I haven't bought one yet though. Vivi's post about his really caught my eye. I'm not a big .380 guy though. I do have a micro 9 and will put up with the extra weight for the 9mm performance vs the 380 but who knows what I'm thinking in 6 months. The Bodyguard 2 is a true pocket pistol.
Just noticed this post. I've put in a decent bit of range time with the BG2 and I can't get over how well it shoots for such a small gun. The slide is very low and lightweight compared to other compact pistols - between that and the 380 ammo there's barely any recoil. Very easy to shoot accurate follow up shots rapidly.

Thinking about picking this up or something similar from PSA.

Bought a barely used Winchester SXP pump shotgun. Have attended a couple 3gun shoots and sick of having to rely on borrowing.
Need to look into an extended mag tube.

I hope you enjoy it.

I've used Briley and Nordic Components extension tubes. I only see a listing for the SXP from Nordic.

thoughts on the canik mc9,anyone?

they're having a big sale on them now. normal retail $500 or so, they're around $200-235 after the sale + rebate, AND they come with a case, holster, cleaning kit, extra mag etc.

no experience with the brand but it sounds like too good of a deal to pass up.

which belts are you guys using?

I'm wearing a standard 1.5" thick leather belt. I'm interested in a ratcheting gun specific belt.

Suggestions?

I have three Beltman 1.5" leather belts, great belts! But, I bought a ODG Kore ratcheting belt probably a little over a year ago, my one black leather Beltman belt has been to two funerals since I bought the Kore, that's it. I'll never go back to a standard hole punched belt again, Kore makes a phenomenal product! Shooters Express has a display rack you can check out, that's where I bought mine.

I’ve been wearing Kore belts for quite a few years. Although i have one of their wider belts, I almost always wear their narrower belts. It’s not like I’m packin’ a Desert Eagle.

I ordered a Ruger RXM after getting rid of my PSA Dagger. The RXM fixes my main complaints (trigger, grip shape, grip angle, grip texture) with the Dagger. I'm looking forward to shooting it, but it will be awhile (DACK). I intend to purchase a subcompact grip as soon as they're available and a full size eventually.

I was planning on picking up a Beretta PX4 Storm Compact Carry 2 I found for a good price. However, after shooting the full size, I determined it didn't shoot differently enough (for me) over the run of the mill striker guns to justify the price premium, lesser holster/aftermarket support, and optics compatibility being an expensive, aftermarket proposition.

I’m still thinking about the Bodyguard 2.0. Might have to try it out. Only bad part is then getting ammo for it and a new holster. It’s an investment

someone recently pointed out to me academy has ammo cheaper than most places. $15-17 for a box of 50 range rds vs $25-30 at mom and pop shops around here.

my holster was $45 - https://www.desantisholster.com/pegasus-kydex/slim-tuk/

I have a custom one on order that should be done by mid september.

definitely worth it. 13rd capacity, ultralight, comfortable for just about any hand size to shoot.

How much does the bodyguard weigh loaded?

I think my town is getting an academy sports store soon. I’ll check them out.
