Am I falsely getting the impression that people were only ordering one Mule type when they would have wanted both?

Chalk that up to another botched order. It’s so frustrating when you do everything right but the site doesn’t work properly.

I tried to order one of each edge type, 2 handle sets and 2 sheaths. Was transferred to the PayPal site and everything went smooth until I was transferred back to Spyderco’s site and I didn’t have a complete order button, only a grayed out PayPal button. Refreshed to try again. Went to the PayPal site. Typed everything in again and when I got back to Spyderco’s site the SE was sold out along with the handles. Tried again. Rinse and repeat but this time the sheaths were sold out. Tried again and was finally able to get one pe blade.

I really commend Spyderco for having the supply for the 15V demand but the experience I just had was so frustrating and really turns me off. I really wish they would produce the supply for the demand on hit items like this. Instead of being excited about this new steel I’m now irritated and upset.

Got mine yay. Shipping to Canada $40, Shipping to Australia and France i saw was $25 . Is there someone at Spyderco i can send a Map to?

I'm curious the percentage of buyers who got the sheath and scale kit along with their mule. With those both sold out alongside the mules, I am betting it was pretty high.

Wow, I'm glad I stayed up late for this one. Got my order in by 11:06.

I'm actually surprised it sold out this quickly, considering the VG XEOS and AEB-L Mules are still in stock. I guess many folks still prefer the hot new steels.

I also had the same paypal issue, so I went to the Venmo option. Not sure if it was a PayPal glitch or a Spyderco issue, but I ran into that same problem

Just wanted to give the web team massive props. This was the easiest shopping experience I have had at Spyderco's website, regardless of if it was a drop or not. Everything just worked, it was fast, got my order in quick and got my Mule secured!

I think it was pretty easy to see you could add both to your cart.

My guesses for only ordering one:
1. Panic to check out with at least one before they sold out.
2. Budget, we all have one.
3. Only have so much use for a Mule in daily use so one was enough.

Personally, as I mentioned above, I was very close to also getting the SE but after testing I don't use my Mules too much. I would rather take the money I saved and use it for a MagnaMax folder.

Wow! Just wow! That’s the smoothest web experience I’ve had for a high demand Mule drop. I’m surprised there was so much demand for the SE version. I managed to snag a PE, but by the time I finished my checkout at 9:06, I lost the SE because they were already sold out. I was hoping for one of each. Still consider myself fortunate to have such a smooth experience and that I even got a PE MagnaMax Mule with how fast those sold out. Thanks Spyderco for all of your web upgrades and continued hard work.

Snagged both SE and PE before 10:01. Easily the smoothest high-demand drop I've participated in.

No handle or sheath order because Halpern Titanium has a better selection of scales (multiple colors, both contoured and flat) and I already own Mule Team sheaths. I seem to remember quick sellouts of handles and sheaths before, when there were high-demand drops.

Got my PE confirmed @ 9:01 Was doubting about SE. Not taken, but will probably regret it later. Almost everything smooth and fine. I was a bit excited at first when the countdown timer stopped I could not add the knife to my shopping cart. Amazing both versions are already sold. Lucky I got one. Now the waiting begins for the package to arrive Thanks to Spyderco for this Mule!

It sounds like when things started going out of stock it affected their order transactions.

Glad I got mine. I've seen mules last longer and some run out quickly. Bought mine at 9:02, did a quick 30 minute workout and went back to check the site and everything was gone!

Well mine was a shipwreck, I have no idea if I got one of each or not. The SE showed up as sold out when I tried to checkout.

That was within 4 minutes of the start time too lol. I just hope I get at least one of them at this point. To say these were being trolled on is an understatement lol.

I figure everyone that knew anything about these were there and the guys with PayPal got them easier than us checking out as a guest.

There was probably plenty of the guys that just like to flip them on ebay at 3 times the money got theirs, guess if I didn't get one, I will be shopping there again lol...

They sure went fast though. Very impressive buy out. Was a really bad time for our website buying issue to happen. I don't do PayPal not a fan at all really. Had trouble with them stealing my money years ago and dropped them. Sure it's better now, least would like to hope so anyway.

Just hope those of us that love the whole concept of Mule Team gets at least one of them... that first Mule SE sure went crazy fast lol.

Man now the boxing up and shipping depthment at Spyderco is getting slaughtered by all the orders. Hope they all can get this all out easy enough, some shipping docks can be crazy lol...

Bought 1 of each too. Both sold out w/in about 10-15 mins after release.

Didn't think I'd be able to buy one because usually when I log into these things, Spydie's computer bogs down &/or locks up requiring multiple log-ins or refreshes to get into the site/page.

Not so this time.

It was actually the smoothest & easiest new release purchase I've ever made on Spyderco's site.

Logged in at 8 PST/9 MST. Had to refresh the MagnaMax page a couple of times (about 5-10 secs) before purchases were allowed, placed my order & paid thru PayPal in nothing flat.

So, looks like Spyderco has been working on upgrading/improving their computer system.

So, were fewer of them made or was there actually more demand for the SpyderEdge?
