Locked in on my calendar, very excited! How many are being produced? Do you expect it to sell out in minutes?

I just noticed that our new website has a count down clock at the top header for the release time of the MagnaMax Mule. Really freakin' cool.

This release of the MagnaMax Mule may cause the internet to stumble and shutter when we all hit it at the same time lol. Some of us that live in the sticks and don't have good internet when it's at the best it can be like me, may have a real problem.

I just lost out on a bid on GunBroker.com last night while trying to buy a new 1911 pistol, they even have the 15 minute rule there and I lost internet right in the middle of a bid on this pistol I had every intention on buying...

Anyway, you guys checkout the new clock at the top header of our website, it's really cool...

This has to be the most anticipated Mule release in years. I really hope you guys got enough bar stock to make this attainable for those of us not using bots and shiz to buy at 0900.

I’m going for plain edge first and if I can successfully make the transaction, go for a an SE. Would be my only SE fixed blade, and I only own 2 fixed blades ATM.

Tips & Tricks to Improve Your Mule Team Shopping Experience!

If you have an account on Spyderco.com - log in to it ahead of time and ensure that your billing, shipping addresses, and contact information are correct and current.

If you do not have an account on Spyderco.com, you can check out as a guest. If you’d like to have an account, register before the drop and save yourself the time of entering your information.

What happened to the accounts on the site? How do you register for an account? The only option I see is to enter an email address and be sent a code.

I think I’m actually more excited about the precedent of SE mules than I am about Magnamax.

As a card-carrying metal head, I won't go THAT far. But I'm really intrigued at the prospect of having both a plain and serrated edge MagnaMax. The big question is how I'm going to finish them. The handles need to be distinguishable from each other, yet maintain a similar look. What to do... what to do...

I’m planning on using mine in the kitchen but am undecided between G10 and Terotuff, although I love a bit of burlap micarta!
I have two in my kitchen knife block. I use them often but the Magna Max in both plain and serrated may replace the two I have there if I get lucky on drop. I think it would be fun to make some custom scales from epoxy and use a spyderco catalog to make into a decorative micarta. That or have rare earth magnets glued in the scales instead of using screws to clamp the scales on the knife where the holes are. This way you could have one scale set for all the mules, minus the ceramic one but that could be a special dedicated one. This would be great for cleaning the knife, especially for the non stainless ones. Maybe someone can cad the scales with the appropriate hole size and position for the magnets and put them on thingverse 🧲

We couldn't migrate all of the tens of thousands of accounts from the old site. Our site no longer requires a password. Instead it utilizes OTP (One-Time Password) via email. It's a more secure option.

Kristi,

I tried the system a few days ago to be ready for the drop and it's fine by me. No problems.

Once I am logged in and there is no activity but I am waiting for the drop, how long before the system logs me out? 30 minutes? 60 minutes?

Judging by the price I would say Carpenter. But I could be wrong though.

I was thinking the same thing. I’d rather the drop be delayed than have people miss out for not having PayPal.
