Post an image of your current five favorite Spydercos, and if you want write a little blurb about why you enjoy those designs so much.

I'll start :bug-red

In no particular order

1. Police 3 - This is an amazing design. And possibly the best fit and finish to ever come out of Seki. I'd put it up against any Taichung model. Just a beautiful and balanced large folder.

2. Manix 2 XL - A great hard use knife. The handle design locks into the hand perfectly.

3. Para 3 S35VN DLC - my go to for EDC at work. It does everything well and is easy to carry.

4. Endura 4 HAP40/SUS410 - This is a super slicer. The HAP40 just keeps cutting and the working edge lasts forever between sharpening

5. Gayle Bradley 2 - I've heard others call it the Spyderco Sebenza. That's not far off the mark. Beauty and brawn and world class action.

It was the king for many years, but the Military Salt does everything better for my uses besides the self closing bias. H1 is probably a tougher for abusive tasks too but with how I use folders that rarely matters.

Glad to see more people posting photos as the thread grows, that makes replies more interesting.

It's funny how many replies, mine included, feature multiple knives all near the same size.

The Police 3 really was a beauty. Remarkably well made. Fell in love with the design at first sight when I saw the amsterdam meet photos back in '07 IIRC. Bought one when they released for $127 or so, a second a few years later I ended up gifting, and snagged a basically brand new one from new graham for a ridiculous $99.

There's some things I like better about gen 3 and some I like better about gen 4. I really like the blade shape of gens 1-3....that minimal belly gives it such nice control during slices.

It's my weekend/dress knife but still the ergonomics are amazing. Honestly one of my favorite spydercos ever. I remember when I first saw it I didn't think I'd like it but once I got it in my hand I was sold. I'd buy a sprint or NOS in a heartbeat. The craftsmanship of those older models is some of the best.

It changes slightly all the time, and I could easily include several more, such as the WolfSpyder, Para 3 and Manix, but these five are always firm favourites of mine and include all the various sized knives I'd ever need ~

5. Red G-10 leaf blade UKPK
4. Grey G-10 Stretch XL Cruwear
3. Green G-10 Dragonfly
2. Black G-10 Lil' Temperance
1. CruCarta PM2

1. Native 5
2. CQI Brouwer
3. Serrated lil Native
4. Delica 4
5. UKPK
6. the Cruwear Stretch 2 XL

I like green and I like knives. The lighting isn't the best on my picture. The top four are forest green G-10.
These are my top 5 models plus an honorable mention.

I have lots and lots of Native 5s (unlined G-10, titanium, unlined CF, lined G-10, lightweight, I love them all). It's ergonomic perfection for me. I tend to favor the Cruwear, SPY27, S90V, and LC200N ones. The one pictured is a knifecenter exclusive Cruwear one wearing the scales from a knifecenter exclusive smooth forest green S90V model. I regularly use this particular one, but it's a representative for the various Native 5 models.

The Spyderco Brouwer is very narrow in the pocket for a Spyderco. The blade cuts and cuts, it's a fabulous and sturdy small knife. Most of the thickness of the blade stock is delivered close to the tip. The blade is small, but with the choil, the handle is actually quite big. The blade shape reminds me of a Kephart and is pretty public friendly. I have four of these, each with a different show side scale. The one pictured has a smooth forest green G-10 scale which I had custom made for it mainly to get rid of the clip screw holes one the show side.
The CQI one has the lock side clip screw holes mounted closer to the end of the knife and also incorporates a pivot bushing, so that's the better one to get, but they were both great. I don't care for frame locks, but the Brouwer still made my list.

A serrated lil Native is in my fifth pocket when I have a fifth pocket. I have several of these. I use it for pretty much whatever and probably use these the most. This one is wearing forest green G-10 scales off of a KnifeJoker exclusive. I have my fingers crossed for the future availability of a serrated salt compression lock lil Native.

The K390 wharncliffe Delica is imho the best Delica, but they're all pretty great. This one has smooth forest green G-10 scales on it which I had custom made. It's also a placeholder from a collection of various Delicas.

The UKPK is super easy to live with. The FRN versions are under 2 ounces. I have several of these and really enjoy the model. I would include my single Caly 3 in the group with the UKPKs since the handle shape is pretty much identical. The ergonomics are brilliant (much like the Native 5 and lil Native above).

My honorable mention is my favorite big folding knife, the Stretch 2 XL in Cruwear. I love the Japanese lockback full liner models. At least for me, this one is the best of that type. When I want a big folding knife, this is probably the first choice more often than not. I should also mention the Native Chief here too as it'd be next in line.

Top 5? Mine skew very much to the small, since my state has size limits on "concealed" knives.

1. Chaparral Lightweight SE
2. Sage 5 Salt, Magnacut, canvas micarta scales.
3. Lil Native, 10V, canvas micarta scales.
4. Dragonfly 2, K390, Wharncliffe.
5. Para 3, Crucarta

Honorable mentions: Leafjumper K390 SE, Mule Team K294 G10 scales

Next week a new Kapara, S90V, burlap micarta scales will arrive. It quite likely will result in some shuffling.
Oldest: 1974 Buck 110.
Newest: Manix 2 LW, CPM 15V
Knives owned: Too many, yet always finding another.

Love it! Nice rounded group of Spydies. Excellent color choices. For the most part I'm into green and brown also. Not opposed to bright colors, but prefer more natural tones. Its kinda funny, one of my recent faves is my Bento Box M390 Para 3. And its a fairly bright shade of blue, lol!

I think the K04 is a great general utility slicer, suitable for non-knife people and family kitchens.

It excels for cuts that makes sense for a serrated edge. At 6.5 inches long, it is long enough to be exceptionally versatile. The 4.5 inch K05 is a bit short IMO. I don't mind the wear caused by serrations on our cheap cutting boards. It slices all kinds of fruit, veggies, crusty breads, fibrous foods etc.

The serrated edge requires so little maintenance, but unlike plain edges, it remains sharp enough to get most jobs done. For example, I have not touched it up in more than 3 months, but it still slices a tomato cleanly. And it gets used by the whole family, often multiple times a day.

For quick breakfast scrambled eggs this morning:
- sliced a plastic vacuum packed package with sausages in half, to use half of it
- sliced up the sausages
- sliced up half an onion
- fried with scrambled eggs
- quartered a tomato

It can be left dirty overnight and would not rust, but we hand-wash them. It just works, does need to be babied, and comes back for more. This one is going on 10 years.

Narrowing it down to 5 was a difficult task. All my Spydercos were thought out purchases and they're all awesome knives.
First is the BBS M390 Para 3. The only Spydie I have in M390.

Second is the DLT PM2. Black S90V blade with OD green G10. What else needs to be said?

Third is the Triple B Shaman. A real tank of a knife.

Fourth the Triple B Para 3 LW. 15V in a smaller package. For when I don't want to carry a big knife like the Shaman.

Last but not least there's the REC Manix 2. Whats not to love?

A few models will remain in my top 5, but it does change depending on needs and even season.

At this very minute in time 😉

S90v is still my favorite steel. Keeps an edge long enough, easy to sharpen and plenty of corosiin resistance for my neck of the woods.

My top 5 continue to be the Slysz Bowie, Kapara, PM2, Military, and Caly 3.5 (SB). I have a few variants of the first four models listed so it’s tough to choose my particular favorite among them. Cheers, Radioactive
