Have you ever sold a Spyderco, regretted it and bought a replacement later on

Yup -back in the day I bought an original Worker, Lil Temperance,, Calypso, DoDo, a Black Hawk, etc... And the sold them each for an amazing- outrageous price of ... around $80

Ive tried to buy some of them again - but just cant rationalize the prices ....

I miss the days when basically any Spyderco could be found for under $150. Even my first CF Spydie, the S90V / CF Millie 1.

My only regretful sale was my Kapara.
As fate would have it just when I was in a position to buy another, the S90V exclusive was announced so it worked out well in the end.

I've put myself through this situation multiple times. The Baby Jess Horn was sold when I thought I didn't like it. Years go by, I start to miss my BJH and eventually I find some in stock at Hand-tools. It is an excellent source of old NIB models that have just been hanging around, waiting to be bought. The same story goes for the Manix 2 Sprint with those sweet Golden carbon fiber scales, and the ultra rare laminated S90V/154 blade.

I even sold my HAP40 Stretch when I was broke, and picked up another one years later.

My brother was in need of a knife and I let him check out my spydie collection. Part of his need was for something to leave in his desk at work to cut apples. Spydies are bit too good to risk that. So, I ended up giving him a walnut Opinel No 6 to leave in his desk at work. Of my 30 or so spydies he checked out, he pondered over the Watu and the S110V Para3 for a few days. He ended up keeping the Para 3 and already has a Lynch clip on it. It made a good introduction to him of nicer knifes than a Gerber Dime multi-tool. But, with that gap in my collection, it has me pondering a replacement for it. I'm not sure if I should get the S110V again or perhaps the Crucarta or another variation. I don't have either of those at the moment. I probably wouldn't mind a black cruwear / purple g10 matcher to my pm2 either. Aren't options great!

Delica Wharncliffe. I started missing how good it was at cutting cardboard and had to get another one.

Some knives just take me a few tries to come around to. Others I keep trying and they never click.

Either way, it's an expensive pattern.

I've been regretting selling my PM2 Salt lately. So much so I ordered one of the satin ones tonight when someone mentioned they were back in stock at National Knives. Something about that knife keeps calling me; same for the Bodacious, which I'm just holding out for a better configuration.

Have you ever sold a Spyderco? YES, 2, 20CV knives. I liked the knives but they felt too small. Will replace with Yojimbos.

I prefer folders with 4 to 5.5 inch blades.
