It's not in my pocket yet. But I'm excited for this one. The Civivi Buster. I've got one preordered and it ships tomorrow (5/29). It's a 4.2" blade with the Snecx SuperLock. I'm a HUGE fan of the the Vision FG. So the Buster should be even better. Nitro-V and G10 for $98.

LOVE the Mini Buster, it's such a great design in use. Never got used to the Superlock though... The SNEX lockbar interface is very CRK with an interface that is also the detent.
Juat FYI.....Seeing some posts on Reddit about the stop pin hitting the choil close to the edge.
I'm still waiting on mine. I pre-ordered it from Knifecenter. The release date was 5/28 and mine still hasn't shipped yet.

But the Vision FG has the exact same stop pin design. I think it's a non-issue. Maybe, after 30 years of sharpening, it might become a problem

Compared some fixed blades today.

Left to right: Landi EDC (A2), Landi Bushcraft FFG (A2), Spyderco Temperance Sprint (Cruwear), Mora Companion (Carbon).

Me and my hiking buddy agreed the Spyderco carved wood with the least effort, then the Mora, then the bushcrafter just behind the Mora, and finally the Landi EDC.

I'm sti in the process of converting the EDC to a convex grind. Show side is done except polishing but the back side needs more work, so the results didn't surprise there.

I was a bit surprised the Spyderco cut better than the Mora on wood carving. Guess I took it pretty thin at the edge bevel.

This comparison showed me I should be fine taking the Bushcrafter a touch thinner.

whatcha think so far?

I'm excited to pick one up but I'm gonna wait a bit. Lots of Switch 1 games I still need to finish. Whenever Metroid Prime 4 comes out I'll pick one up. Which is funny...because that's the game I originally bought my Switch for in the first place.

Recon 1 getting a lot of carry so far in 2025. Thinkin about ordering one in magnacut and doing a head to head comparison with the Manix XL Salt once it's out. They each do certain things better than the other IMO.

The Eklipse is a skinny hollow grind! They debut them for Blade Show and should be out on the market soon.

@vivi wasn't sure where to put this, seems right up your alley. Very clever design that ends up having about twice the blade length than handle length when open.

I'm really loving the Civivi Buster FG. This thing is an absolute tank. Awsome design, awsome ergos, the SuperLock is awsome. And the fit and finish is typical Civivi. That is to say, first rate. The G10 is very grippy. The lock up is rock solid with absolutely zero play in any direction. This is a steal at $97 MAP. Civivi could have charged $50 more and it still would have felt like a great buy. I highly recommend it for those who appreciate large, hard use folders.

Nitro-V steel
9.65" overall
4.2" blade
0.16" (4mm) blade thickness
6.46oz weight
