UKPK Purchase

#1

Post by SpydieCollector »

I'm really pleased with my first UKPK knife purchase.

I'd settled on the Byrd Tern as my EDC but I couldn't resist giving the UKPK a chance as well. It got delivered today and it's great.

I only wish they ground the UKPK as thin bte as the Urban.

I'm looking to add the Urban to my collection this year. I'm not too concerned about the thickness as I just like a decent knife that's legal to carry in Britain. I'm spoiled for choice at the moment. :smiling-cheeks

Great choice! I have 2 UKPKs. I’m holding out for the SE LC200N version.

I'm surprised at the quality of the UKPK. I didn't''t think it'd be that much better than the Byrd Tern but the UKPK is larger and has a stronger slip joint which I find reassuring. It's a great knife, an instant fav.

Then again most of the Spyderco knives I have are favourites of mine :smlling-eyes

I've become an instant fan of the UKPK today.

Nice one! The UKPK is one of my personal favorites, too, and I am allowed to carry a locking knife. It's just that good. Under-rated knife in my opinion. I'm usually carrying a UKPK or a Native 5 as they both are great. Enjoy your new Spydie!!

I was so excited for months and months about the Spy27 G10. Couldn't hit the buy button fast enough when they dropped. Absolutely love it, everything I hoped it would be... Then I found a deal on a ebay factory 2nd SE lc200n a month or 2 ago and I can not stop myself from carrying it.

Congrats! The UKPK finds a way into my pocket regularly, even though I prefer larger knives. One of Sal's best designs IMHO.

Ah ok! The one I missed, before the UKPK caught my eye...

Seems like they were only made for one year, in 2011.

Thanks for all the replies!

I love this knife as I can carry it and not get arrested by our restrictive British law.

I've had a lot of other branded legal knives over the years but this is the best in terms of design and quality. It just feels so right in the hand.

So much to love about this knife. I bought it a few days ago and became a fan as soon as I held it. I need a set of them now haha.

I agree completely! These and the Caly3 are quite possibly the most comfortable pocket knives!

I thought the Tern was a comfortable knife but with the UKPK being a bit bigger it's even more comfortable although quite similar.

The UKPK is my most carried pocket knife day to day. I think you made a good sound choice.

Definitely. I do a mental check of keys, phone, wallet and UKPK. :smlling-eyes
