Cutlery Shop Military 2 Exclusive

#1

Post by 8th_Note »

This is high on my want list. I didn't even know it existed until today when I just happened to go to the CS website while looking at other stuff. Just thought I'd let everyone else know that it's out there too

https://cutleryshoppe.com/spyderco-c36g ... exclusive/

edit: looks like it's available on 4/3/25

Tough choice for sure. I've got an S30V DLC Military 2 already that I carry alot. But I've been really wanting to try Spyderco's take on XHP. I have a SOG Kiku XR in XHP that I absolutely love, and I'm willing to bet that Spyderco's heat treat will be much better than SOG's

And the XHP Mili is sure to be more rare than the 15Vs

If CS releases the Mil2 like other exclusives, there will possibly also be a satin blade version . MG2

Satin would be a go for me. I generally don’t like coated blades but I am not as opposed as I once was. I have a stretch 2 XL in PD 1 that is coated and dig it.

When Spyderco’s new Coatings hit the Market it would be so fun if they would be able to give the blade a greenish tint. Combined with the orange handles it would really make Spydies Sheeple friendly as they probably think we would be carrying around giant carrots instead of Military’s… :rofl :zany

I'd say the Magnacut Salt that just got released, or the S90V sprint as they are still available.

Those seem like the 2 'ultimate' expressions of the Millie concept.

I contacted CS about a Wharnie Mil2 sadly I don’t think it will happen from my email . Never no there could be a change in the future , I hope so . MG2

I used to feel that way, but when I got a Spyderco DLC blade I was impressed. That DLC coating is far more than just a paint job.

Getting the first Mil2 exclusive in DLC will be nice in steel and color . I had same feelings about coated blades for many years , finally gave them a chance and glad I did . MG2

I'll be sound asleep when these drop in a few hours.

I'll get one if they're still in stock when I wake up. If not, then I'll just wait for the Millie 2 Salt or maybe the Millie 2 CruCarta.

If the M2 exclusive goes the same way as the Chief , I would expect a run in the future in a Satin blade . MG2
