My Chaparral which just arrived today:

Image

I'm super impressed as far as first impressions go. Am considering just removing the pocket clip and carrying this loose since it is so thin and flat. The blade on this is insanely good, though. Legitimately might be Spyderco's best blade geometry I've personally handled to date. They must have been CQI'ing this model too, because the lock bar strength is pretty comparable to my Native (which is a couple years old now) and the sides of the lock bar are chamfered heavily. Closes very comfortable with the side of my thumb knuckle like every other Spyderco back lock.

I am curious about the story with the spine angle of this knife, though. Feels a bit strange, almost like someone freehand drew it with a pencil and they just ran with it.

You sure wouldn't want to leave that Manix right there and bolt up the front of that awesome motor your working on there lol... Great pic
Nope! For more than one reason! It’s a 2GR-FKS out of a 2018 Tacoma.

I know its expensive to the point alot of people are offended by it, but I freakin' love this thing. Definitely my favorite version of the Delica yet.

Congrats, great choice!

...And if you like that one (and its performance), you'll love the serrated version...

Almost unbelievable that any Endela could "beat" the Endura for me... but if you asked me right now this (pic) is my favorite folder (I know, I know, honeymoon-phase and all...;) )

I think it is a fine Delica if I didn’t have some other knives of interest it would be a buy for me . Hope you enjoy that beauty ! MG2

The Endela (for right now) is only my favorite when it comes to particularly the K390 SE version... though I love the model overall too, no doubt!

Practically speaking the Endura just has to be better in the end considering my personal preferences... man, makes me think I should get an Endura in K390 SE too, as long as they are to be found... :grin-sweat

couldn't be happier with it. thanks for the recommendation on the scales.

g10 police 4 has been a favorite of mine since it came out, and these scales make the handle a little thicker. Which fixes my main complaint with the stock g10 police....how thin the handle is.

You know I am following the friendly battle between Police 4 and Millie 2 for the place of your favorite EDC folder... ;)

Now I figure if we´re not talking "from the factory" but "mods are allowed" these new handle - scales tip the (not handle..) scales at least a bit more towards the Police...
