Everyday I hope that we're currently on the tail end of that last part and about to circle back around to the beginning of the cycle.

I am confident that we are on the tail end of those hard times and are currently raising a very strong generation of young men ánd women with incredible potential and the ability to make this world a better place... when they're not on their phones.

I do believe we are on the precipice of positive change. And IMO, it didn't just start with the young people coming up today. The seeds were planted by certain individuals of previous generations during the last century. The seeds of those changes didn't necessarily look ideal (or even good) to the majority back then, nor to many people today, but they were the foundation for changes that are needed for positive changes to happen.

A high percentage of the population believes the world is going to heck in a handbasket at an accelerated rate, and it sure does appear that way. But on the other hand, can anybody realistically expect that the mostly negatives in the world will be replaced with mostly positives worldwide within just a few years? IMO, the world is and has been going through a birthing process, and like any such process, the experience is not pleasant. Especially as the older, darker forces are doubling down to maintain and expand their hold. The "negs" (as I refer to them) will not go quietly into the night. In other words, this ride we're currently on might take a while.

Of course, I'm sure many will say that my opinion / observation is full of crap. Some might prefer the "comfort" of gloom and doom. Others will think that "Gen Z" or "Gen Alpha" are the antidote that creates an immediate and total change. Change IS happening, but will everything be "fixed" during my lifetime? I'll believe that if and when I actually see it. The truth is that no matter how well this earthly realm is ultimately improved and evolved, it will never be perfect. Human nature guarantees that.

I didn't know where else to put this, so here it goes. Obviously, this is definitely not true of all women, but I have seen this happen to a lot of guys time and again. I'm certain that the other way around happens, too.

It's telling the way the two women start laughing so cheerfully, as if that's exactly what they themselves do. IMO, anyone who does that is a poor life partner.

I told someone that a wise and kind and moral person working as a janitor earning say 20 dollars an hour with no pension and just basic social security is better off than a high earning immoral evil mean person with a fat retirement and big house.

This person disagreed and claims earning so little is unwise.

I feel that response is like spitting in the face of working class people.

I would definitely rather know that particular janitor than the sociopathic rich person.

OTOH, just because someone has more money doesn't automatically make them evil. And neither does being poor automatically make a person more moral. Not every wealthy person is like the mega-rich parasites who engage in the types of atrocities that have been coming to light. Yes, there are MANY like that, but I wouldn't say that every wealthy person is necessarily evil. Maybe most of the mega-billionaires are.

But if you believe that having a degree of wealth automatically makes a person less moral than a person who's just scraping by, you are subconsciously convincing yourself to stay poor. Then that will be your experience in life.

It's not wealth by itself that turns someone evil; IMO, evil rich people were BORN evil, and into (usually rich) evil families. There are bad seeds. They already had it in them.

Just like there are evil poor bad seeds. Those aren't the ones in the news right now, and they may lack the power, influence, and access of the evil rich. But make no mistake; if an evil poor were to become rich, he would be doing the same things as the so-called "elites."

It all depends on what is in the person, and how they live and treat others (especially when nobody's looking), that determines their true nature.

Earning so little is not "unwise" it may be the only offer that person received. It is disappointing.

I'd be OK with $25/hr for 40 hours per week. It would more than pay for all of my bills and that is all that I am trying to accomplish right now.

I landed a part-time job paying less than $20/hr for 20 to 25 hours per week. It isn't good enough, but I need to work and keep looking while I work, and I will.

How many times have we heard rich people complaining about their stress and depression, or not trusting anybody, because people only want to know them, or be with them, because of their wealth?

Without all the workers who do the dirty jobs, and the so-called menial work, the so-called "high-value men" (a term that is popular in the "manosphere"), in their expensive 5-piece suits, coiffed hair, gym bodies, and high salaries, would be a mess themselves, without all the modern amenities that those "menial" workers maintain that allow for them to have that "high-value" lifestyle.

I do what might be considered "menial" work these days. Maybe what I've done my whole life is considered menial, I don't know. I've worked in the trades my entire life, so.... I actually work/ed . I'm retired, but I still work full time if that makes any sense .

I work for many extremely well to do people. I have been in hundreds of their homes. Most of their garages are bigger than my home. 99% of these people are no different than anyone I have ever met, despite their wealth and success. They can't do what I do, so they need what I can provide. I'm of the opinion that it takes all of us to keep the world going... no matter how "menial" a person or job seems on the surface.

I love the menial parts of life and highly respect those who do many of those jobs. I would prefer to be in a trade I think, but somehow I get roped into doing digital and management type work. I respect anyone who works hard and treats others fairly, regardless of what that work is. I know how hard it can be to do physical labor, as well as how hard it can be to make software.
