What's this little hole in my Yojumbo blade?
What's this little hole in my Yojumbo blade?
Like the title says. I'm just curious, and after I put the Yojumbo back together I saw that when the blade is open, the mystery hole lines up precisely with the holes on the scales and liners drilled for the center screw when the pocket clip is configured for tip-down. In other words, there's T6-sized hole all the way through the knife when the blade is open, which made me think maybe it's a way to do some quick QA to make sure all the parts are to spec and line up properly before the knife is boxed and shipped. But why speculate when I can learn the answer from those who know?
Re: What's this little hole in my Yojumbo blade?
If it’s not the detent hole, it could be an aligning hole for grinding/sharpening.
Re: What's this little hole in my Yojumbo blade?
There have been a few threads on this, but searching I just keep getting hole opener threads
I am pretty sure the consensus was it denotes blade steel in some way.

That is the detent hole that keeps the blade held closed in the grip of the knife.
