Cqi question

#1

Post by Fharing45 »

I know spyderco improves there products thru cqi, so I am looking at a knifejoy spidiechef in the blue ti. My question is are these from an older run, or from one after cqi? And if so is there any real difference? Thanks. :zany

As far as I can tell, the big difference in the Spydiechef in terms of CQI was replacing the steel detent ball with a ceramic one. That was a while back. Not sure whether any improvements were made after that.

Pretty certain any Spydiechef out there at dealers is a CQI version... from the looks of it the KJ version does have the coated screws as well, which were part 2 of the Spydiechef's CQI after the ceramic detent.
