Picked one up. This stonewash finish is a thing of beauty.

Hello,

The M2 in 15V is a ton of a knife. I called it the MOAB: Mother Of All Bears ;-)

Here is my glimpse on this state of art folder with a lot of pictures and comparo on it:

Been carrying mine for a week.

The compression lock is fun to flick and play with, but I still prefer the liner lock of the Millie 1. When held the way I would normally hold a Millie 1, the Millie 2 compression lock slightly pinches the fat on my forefinger during deployment. The only way to avoid that is to shuffle my hand down a bit, but then it feels awkward and unnatural.

I also like that the Millie 2 sits a little lower in my pocket. However, the taller pocket clip irks me and is noticeable in use. Not sure if it's worth the trade off.

Lastly, the more pronounced choil doesn't bother me as much as it originally did, but the more subtle choil of the Millie 1 is still superior when holding the knife in a pinch grip. I also like how my forefinger falls right into the liner lock cutout on the 1 in a hammer grip.

I'm really trying to love the Millie 2, but the more I use it, the more I wish I had the OG in my pocket.

I have the Cru-Carta Millie 2 and it's probably my favorite comp lock to date. Seems like the bigger the knife, the more comfortable I am with the comp lock. However, I still prefer my post-CQI Millie in S110 with after-market tip-up micarta scales and deep carry clip. Excellent strong detent and perfect choil.

Here's how my 15V currently looks.

Tried dying the rc bladeworks micarta but didn't soak them long enough I don't think. Gonna use it for now and re-dye it later probably. Had enough of taking knives apart for now.

the scales are a little thicker, which makes the handle comfier. the thumb ramp area in particular feels a lot nicer.

I actually really like that color. I’d probably keep them and see how they age. I’ve seen you like dark green, though…

Looks good, Micarta is such an appealing material.
I have a couple different RC Bladeworks scales, very nice pieces
Going back to Caly.

I guess the first step is admitting that you have a problem? 😁

anyone else have a 15v with sluggish action? I keep meaning to carry mine but the action is pretty bad. I've tried cleaning it and lubing it, and things also didn't change after swapping the scales.

Doesn't feel rough or gritty. Detent is normal. Pivot tight enough for no play but still free swinging blade.

But for some reason the first 25% of the closing motion feels stiff and plain bad.

I've been hoping it would break in but it's sti not to where I happy enough with it to want to carry it.

Not sure what else to try.

I got two, one (the one I carry) has just the slightest amount of lock stick but the action on both are perfect. You said it was the same before the scale swap too? I did scales on my Bodacious and just couldn't get the action to be as good as with the factory scales.

No burrs around the clip screw holes? I had an issue years ago with a Para 2 that had the slightest lip around the clip screw holes and it was effecting the action, I sanded the scale smooth and it fixed it. Since the washers overlap the screw holes, if those holes aren't perfect flat with the rest of the liner they'll push the washer and slow the action around where the holes are.

Nope, mine is excellent!
My s90v CF on the other hand is sluggish (even after lube, adjusting, and break in) it also had a cross threaded clip screw, and uneven grinds but it's still a great knife!

No complaints here (4x M2's).

As @Evil D mentioned, a prime suspect would be a burr around the holes on the liners.

I almost get the PM2 salt clip placement getting overlooked since it appears to land on the pad (actually it does, just not the ideal place). This one is comically bad even in pictures though. Hopefully that gets a cqi with a clip length that fits.

wow.

this knife is a dream come true. only knife ive ever pre-ordered.

but looking at that makes me want to cancel and wait and see if they cqi this model.

I've been biting my tongue a lot on the subject but I've gotta be brutally honest here - how is the company that pioneered pocket clips on folding knives somehow getting worse at designing clips as the years go on?

I raised this issue in 2019. Since then I've seen nothing change.

****. Can't believe I'm going to do this, but I'm holding off on this one for now. At least until I hear se in hand reports. Sheesh.
