Manix 2 XL - 15v
Basically as the topic says, what are the chances of a Manix 2 XL in 15v? Any demand?
It would be one heck of a big piece of 15v.

Re: Manix 2 XL - 15v
I have yet to try a Manix XL in any steel, so I think I would maybe be a bit hesitant to take a swing on one as a regular production piece, but as a sprint I would grab one knowing the 15V would give me some bargaining power on a trade of some kind. Like you said, that'd be a big piece of 15V.
You know about the YoJumbo in 15V right? Since we're talking big chunks of 15V.

I doubt that I have the money to get every Spyderco released, I certainly do not always have the money when the knives are released. Timing is everything. I'd like to have an S90V or 15V collection. I'd sprinkle the collection with tougher steels where necessary.
I'm in for a Manix, Manix 2 XL in 15V. I really do hope there are 5,000 made per model. It gives me a chance.

I’d bite. Great idea. How about an all black Manix 2 XL while we are at it?

I love the Manix 2 and tried a friends Manix XL, loved the feel of it even more. Mind you I am in a suit for work every day so I don’t have any need a 4” folding knife but the XL felt amazing in hand.Mage7 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 3:58 pmI have yet to try a Manix XL in any steel, so I think I would maybe be a bit hesitant to take a swing on one as a regular production piece, but as a sprint I would grab one knowing the 15V would give me some bargaining power on a trade of some kind. At some point I do want to get one, even though the Shaman is all the big knife I need, but an XL in 15v I don’t think I could pass on short of it being really big money.
I also thought since they 15v’ed the Manix and Manix LW it might just be a natural progression especially since they are all made in the same place.

Totally agree. Got 5 new Spyderco’s last year, was a bit too many. I would like to keep it to 2 or 3. Makes it very hard, as you need to be pretty selective.Naperville wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 4:14 pmI doubt that I have the money to get every Spyderco released, I certainly do not always have the money when the knives are released. Eric mentioned in one of the SHOT Show vids that everything made in Golden would get a 15V sprint.

Re: Manix 2 XL - 15v
With 15V being affected by corrosion and the like, let's make the Manix2 XL 15V in a black coated blade. I would be down for one of those bigger knifes. Heck, who am I kidding; I will be all over any Manix2 XL at this point! lol
I just got my Manix2 XL Crucarta all modified to my liking and been carrying it ever since. All I can say is what a knife!

I’m thinking we’ll probably be seeing this within the next two reveals...assuming there’s still enough 15v to go around. It’s among the few Golden models that hasn’t yet received the 15v treatment.

Re: Manix 2 XL - 15v
I'm in the same boat. But for these 15V knives the way I look at it they are limited in number and then will be gone. They are a bit better than S90V and S110V in edge retention. I am going to gamble on a few of these and try out Spyderco models that I do not have, and then that will be it for a while.WilliamMunny wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 4:38 pmTotally agree. Re: Manix 2 XL - 15v
I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
It's my favorite model. I'd prefer a non coated blade as I like my steel naked but I wouldn't turn down a coated blade if that was offered! Come on spyderco! Make it happen!!

UKPK drop-point in 15V? Oooohh.
I haven't yet owned a Manix 2 XL. I could definitely see this model getting the BBB treatment.
Maybe this would be a reason enough to pick one up and try one... That said, Military 2 is a definite priority for me over this.
Going back to Caly.

I would love to purchase this version!
Re: Manix 2 XL - 15v
I accidentally purchased a 4V Manix 2 XL (it's ok to roll your eyes) and goodness, that is one big folder! Wen I unboxed it I wondered whether anyone was selling an aftermarket wheels kit. :o
Re: Manix 2 XL - 15v
I’d buy one.
Ok, who am I kidding - I’d buy two. Heir and a spare! I don’t know if it would dethrone my Cruwear M2XL, but it’d be pretty awesome to have the pair of them.
