Ideal GB2

I absolutely love the Gayle Bradley 2. However, a bit too large for me to EDC. I think the good folks at Spyderco would have a huge seller if they made a smaller version, Delica or perhaps Para 3 size. Who’s in favor, I know you are listening Sal and Eric. Troy .

I think you're looking for a GB1 :)

JK, it's not quite as small as you want. I get what you mean though. Something with that solid build heft, hollow grind, and belly would be nice. Could update the steel, though.

I like it how it is sans the uncomfortable liners protruding from the scales.

I actually like the proud liners on my GB1 (the GB2 has thinner liners). Gives contouring to the handle without the price of machining it in (Shaman), and helps with torsional grip.

The GB1 is a great knife.

How about a sprint run of the Gayle Bradley Air?

I like the GB1, I haven't tried the GB2. I think the GB1 is great as it is size wise but I understand there are locations with 3" blade length limits so a smaller knife would help those, and some people are in surroundings where people judge them if they pull out a big knife.

Spyderco Firefly feels surprisingly similar as a mini GB1. Maybe the Centofante 3 as a mini GB2?

Firefly does look interesting.

The best thing I've found for a 3" version of the GB1 is the Lil' Temperance 3 Lightweight in K390. Individual features are different, but as a whole it fills the same niche.

I personally don't have one, but like the design and all just fine. For me it's not big enough for a edc all alone.
I would carry it if I had one of my M2's, Police4 's or my new favorite the Manix2 XL. The GB would be fine as a backup.

I know some states have length limits and I would really have a problem if I couldn't carry at least one 4" edc... I would like to see some folder like those above mentioned in the 4.5-5" range for a edc duty knife.

I have a ProTec I have had over 15 years now that is a 5" and is assisted opening and it's a true beast. Don't have to have the assisted but if Spyderco made something like this new Manix2xl, Police4 or the M2's in a 5" with the MagnaCut, I will buy 6 of them right now.

I got all the little 3.5" support knifes a person could ever need, and usually have a couple of those on me also. I really don't do much without my Leatherman muilti-tool on me as well if I am working doing much at all. I carry heavy, Concealed and open... Then my truck is nothing short of a ammo-toolbox on wheels lol.

So that's just me and how I roll. Then if that ain't enough, I got something in the truck that will take care of the rest literally...

Realistically though, there is a host of Spyderco knifes 3.5" and smaller to choose from, you don't see many larger, and certainly with premium steel...

A smaller GB would instantly position itself on the top of my radar. I’d rather it be even smaller than the GB1, but a sprint GB1 could be just about small enough. Rgds the GB2 It’s only the size and scale material that’s holding me back, and the scales can be fixed. But at the size it’s just too likely to end up as another drawer stuffer.

Another choil-less, hollow grind, tool steel, non-Chinese, linerlock definitely wouldn't be redundant in the lineup.
