Post by Wild & Free »

Nice to be here folks. Just joined as I read some posts occasionally on this forum. I just purchased my first Spyderco and it’s the Native 5 lightweight SPY27. I’m anxiously awaiting for the delivery coming from White Mountain knives.. I’m a 59 year old outdoorsman, and I feel like a child waiting for his new toy! Hope I made a great purchase!

Hello and welcome to the forum! The Native is a great choice! I loved my old one until I lost it, and I still miss it! Spyderco knives are like Lay's potato chips, "You can't have just one!!"

Welcome to the wonderful world of Spyderco. Sounds like a good choice for your first Spydie.👍👍 The Native 5 is one of my favorite models and Spy 27 is a pretty awesome steel. I know you're going to enjoy using it!

Welcome to the madness! SPY27 is a very pleasant steel both to use and to sharpen. I hope you enjoy your new knife!
