Dear BIG-BULLY

Welcome to the Spyderco Forum.

Stay safe,

:rofl :')
Thank you for making my day with that post! Really gave me a good laugh!
Yeah, I have no troll business here, that's just my username! :')

The Yoj are nice for their purpose. I love the spydie jimping front and back & FFG slicy blades for EDC tasks, though.
S30V/SPY27 are my favorites after K390, but they're a little brittle.
I love VG-10 df2 wharn and would love to have K390 delica/df2 wharn but I find it too expensive until used ones show up.
I also love the comp lock mech and the manix 2 lw lock and handle. I think something like cruwear lil' native wharn blade in a native5 g-10 handle with compression lock and metal liners would make one fine tool. Which also would meet many blade length restrictions and such. Idk lil native handle looks a little too small (I feel like pm3 and nat5 almost is too small, the manix2 lw is one crazy good handle though even though it's ugly)

A dragonfly 2 XL with K390/cruwear wharncliffe in a comp lock with delica metal liner setup would be nice too.
I think the important thing is that it does not weight more than the manix2 LW and that it's legal to carry in most places. while having that perfct dragonfly2/manix2 ergos and the wharncliffe tip! :D
Am I asking too much? :grin-sweat
Tested: Military2, PM2, Para3 LW, Manix2 LW, Endura4 LW, Delica4 LW, Dragonfly2 LW, Manbug, Ladybug, Native 5 G10-LL, Stretch2 XL, Native5 LW, Sage5 LW
K390, S30V, SPY27, BD1N, VG-10, H1, PD#1, MagnaCut, 15V.
TBC..

Necromonger: What do you think of this blade?
Riddick: I think it is a half gram heavy on the back end.

K390 sounds good. There are several versions of the LW in Rex45, how does Rex45 compare to K390?

The REX45 holds an edge very nicely. But K390 is just a little better, and a little tougher. At least that's how it's worked out for me. I've been using both for a few years.

I have been searching for the perfect (for me) Manix 2 LW. Manix 2 LW in K390 or 3v are the grail quests that I hope are realized.

Just adding more data for your consideration Sal, thank you

This knife would make me smile. One for pocket and two for backup. Add the new Golden coating or DLC and it will never leave my pockets.

K390 Manix 2 LW would be killer! I'm totally on board with this idea. The lightweight platform with that edge retention would be a game-changer. Let's keep pushing Spyderco to make this happen. 🔪👍

If it were to happen it would be great to have a serrated version and a plain edge . MG2

Absolutely! Anything in K390 should have a SE option.

I will absolutely concur. I've carried 1 Spyderco for about 12-14 years, and recently took a deep dive into the hobby. I now have an Assist (H2), Manix 2 (S30V), Sage 5 (Rex-121), and got my kids a few as well (Para 3, Yojimbo, Chaparral, etc).

After nerding out on everything I possibly could over the last several months regarding EDC, folding knives, knife steels, etc., the most exciting blades to me are going to be in K390, 10V/K294, Cruwear, and 15V. Vanadis 8 as well if it ever becomes available. From a design standpoint, the Manix 2 has to be one of the most intelligently designed knives I've ever held. I would absolutely have to get a Manix 2 K390. What a killer combo.

As usual I have to support this.
Finally just having some serrated Manix in the lineup and current production would be great - if it happened to be a K390 LW: Perfectly fine!
Top three going by pocket-time (update April 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10), Chaparral SE (CTS XHP)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Endela SE (K390)

It will be a sadly steep hill to climb to see a SE Manix 2 , it was only produced from 2009 -2012 in 154 CM . Even the CE was never made since 2012 . I can only guess lack of sales brought on the discontinuations and the has been only available in PE . A SE Manix 2 in K390 would be an outstanding choice to see if there would be enough interest on this platform to expand to other steels such has the Salt lwt in Magnacut or possibly just a shot at CPM30V . Just my thoughts , not trying to dismiss the idea . MG2

Count me in for one. Based on my experience with a K390 Endela, a Manix in this steel is sure to be a winner.
