My favorite and my 9 year old's favorite.
that's awesome! my kid loves their dragonfly salt too.

the bodacious looks really nice but I haven't gotten to check one out in person yet.

Seems like a good first knife! All 3 of my kids have a Spyderco. 2 dragonflies and a Para 3 for the oldest. But my youngest is the one who is really in to the hobby of it. Asked for another knife for Christmas 🤣.

And I think you would really like the Bodacious. There is more grip space than the Military behind the choil. And something I love about it, like the shaman the blade stays thick all the way to the tip. So with so much edge you still get a stout tip.

The price may be the biggest hold up. National Knives had the satin for $196 and the DLC for $209. I had a local dealer match the price for me. Definitely one to look for on sale.

@Manixguy@1994 , Dan you noticed! 🤣 That thing is do for a service. I'm going to break it down with him, and he is going to start learning to sharpen by hand.
That’s great learning early . Maybe some of his backups can be first trial sharpening, doubt he will mess of the Dfy Salt with the master nearby ! :smlling-eyes Dan
Well seeing as I just messed one up the other day lowering the angle, he is going to need to depend on you tube in the near future 🤣. We will give it a go either way.

May your feet be warm and dry and your throat warm with whiskey. A knife in hand or in the sock band.

Those are next-level serrations on the FFG Atlantic... :hushed-face
I had this one for over a decade while working on drilling rigs. Reground it to a high hollow and the serrations after work changed. Cuts significantly better through material.

Below was done with push cut. Since I know you moved hope the Biltong brings a smile to your face.

I remember this Atlantic, and its transformation over the years. I could see from a distance that it would cut well with the latest mods. The biltong did not stand a chance! And looks delicious!

Had the day off and it was a rare warm December day here, so I took advantage of it and went fishing. Pretty decent day overall. Fishing wasn't fast and furious but I got some nice fish. Been on a kick for my K390 Delica so that was the blade of choice.
