A Spyderco OTF?
Re: A Spyderco OTF?
I would have agreed that it would be hard for Spyderco to compete with Microtech, until I got my hands on a Kershaw Livewire. The action in that knife is as good or better than any Microtech I've handled, and I have an Ultratech and a Gen 3 Scarab. I also think they did an amazing job with ergonomics, compared to a Scarab that is basically just a rectangular block. Ergonomics are where I think Spyderco could change the OTF world, it's one of the things Spyderco do better than any other brand. Steel options are another one. Better ergonomics and steel options are the main things that are missing in the OTF world and that's where Spyderco can be competitive.

^ Spot on, 100% agree with everything
Re: A Spyderco OTF?
Give the BM shootout a try then, both ergos and steel are on a real high level, not only as an OTF but as a knife in general and You get a thin and slicey, high HRC CruWear blade to bootEvil D wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 5:12 amI would have agreed that it would be hard for Spyderco to compete with Microtech, until I got my hands on a Kershaw Livewire.
