User knives and those in daily rotation:

Non-user knives or ones that are worthy of display (the display case was a gift from my wife, so obviously I have to fill it :winking-tongue ):

Fixed blades are in a drawer, but there's only two of them at the moment.

Picked up a Carhartt tool rool to supplement my 2 SpyderPacs. The tool roll has 21 pockets in total (3 more than a small SpyderPac), but of those, only eight are wide enough to hold a PM2/Manix 2/Caribbean/Endura 4/Shaman, nine can only hold knives in the size of a Delica 4/Native 5/Sage, three can fit knives as wide and as long as a Para 3, and one can just barely fit a Chaparral, Li'l Native or Dragonfly 2. Still, it's significantly more affordable than a small SpyderPac & seems to be of a decent build quality.

It also rolls up to a very compact form factor with a convenient carry handle:

Another door hanger variation with a MOLLE panel.

Thanks for the idea! 👍

After I saw this, did something similar for my current rotation to free up some drawer space. The rest still sleep in the Pelican cases.

This is what I've been doing recently: making knife storage boxes out of .50 caliber ammo boxes, aftermarket foam, and stickers.

Quick ping on this topic, any new examples out there? Looking for storage ideas for knives and separately sharpening freehand stones.

Here is a large clone of a Pelican case. The brand is called "Tactix", and is sold in Aus at a major hardware store. Much more afforable than a genuine Pelican, and it appears to be of similar build and quality.

A Spyderco Military fits easily in the orientation of the foam openings.

Next to a smaller Pelican 1170.

I just saw this thread and can't believe that it hasn't been mentioned; it's extremely similar to Brock O Lee's post but available all over the states...

Apache cases from Harbor Freight are super high quality, extremely affordable, and virtually bomb proof. I bought this one back in 2017 for $39.99 and they're still available in variable size categories for a super reasonable price. I recommend.

I have currently 2 containers and a ZT bag for my folders and one container for fixed blades. Recently bough two Cavol containers each holding 24 knives to replace two other containers. Cavol has got the nice knive inlay and if bought from their website it's pretty inexpensive. Good quality! I'm buying a third one for the rest of my folders. On the right my top 24 Spyderco's and on the left the top 24 "others".

A lot of nice cases and ideas in here. I'm honestly surprised that not many people go with stands? I get they're not really "storage" but its nice to look at, admire and choose from each day when they're displayed in front you.

Storage. Storage!
I don't need no stinkin' storage.

I use these Craftsman bins. They are easy to see, easy to use and won’t scratch your knives. A few of the bigger knives like the military and yojumbo don’t fit though.
