Hi guys!
Came across these beauty's on Ebay, love these old school Spydie's, can't wait! Question ... how rare are these pieces? The chinook is numbered ( 078 ) but how many were numbered? Is there some sort of database where i can find these numbers, just curious!

I've only seen one Chinook in 2 years.
The Lum is available at KnivesPlus Boss's Collection.

The number is for the Spyderco Collector's Club.

Re: Spyderco Lum / chinook
The chinook was regular production so number refers to collectors club members. How many members is beyond my knowledge. Congrats on your find . MG2Draco wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 8:37 amHi guys!

Well that Chinook is extremely rare depending where you live in the world.
I started looking for one when i was 17 years old as that particular knife got my interested in Spyderco! And well i found this one after a 16 year long search...

Congratulations, Apollo. Isn't it a great feeling when a long search pays off? How do you like the Power Lock? Have you disassembled yours yet?
On mine, the lanyard tube keeps the scales on even without the screws. It was very gritty so I took it apart for cleaning. I think it assembled easier than the Delica and Endura.

About the powerlock. I would not know as the powerlock was only fitted to the Chinook 4 and i only own The original (in the picture) and the Chinook 2. Both are the original spyderco lockbacks also found on the Original Manixes. (For me they are by far still the best locks Spyderco ever made including everything they make today)
Also the Original Chinook is partially riveted so it can not be dissasembled.
