Anyone else talk crap about how many Mules they were going to buy? And then life caught up...
Re: Anyone else talk crap about how many Mules they were going to buy? And then life caught up...
My wife and I were figuring out our budget recently. I ended up deciding not to get the Glock 20 I was going to get in August. Instead I got the Xeos and a 2nd AEB-L mule today. And I’m going to get one of the PD#1 knives. I end up saving money this way. Maybe next year I’ll get my 10mm. Was planning to get the stretch xl in K390 and the Raffir Noble Chaparral but that’s not going to happen. So many great knives but everything in life got expensive so fast it’s crazy.

The Glock 20 is a lot of fun. I've had one for 30 years and bought a second one last year which now has an aftermarket barrel and compensator.

May I ask why ?
Make knives and have never had an issue sending knives to the UK. ( hunting and kitchen knives from Australia ) So can’t see why a Mule would be a issue from Spyderco

I can highly recommend the Glock 20, I have G17.3, G20.4, G21.4 and a G40. I also have conversion Barrels in 9x25 Dillion (for the G40/G20.4) and 40 Super for the G21.4.

Focus on what’s really important. Appreciate what you have and save for what you truly need. We all have our ups and downs, FOMO, and so on, but you have to do what’s best for you. There’s no point in buying everything if you don’t need it. Think about your expenses and stick to your plan.

I used to care a lot more about knives. Now I get distracted by the rest of my life.
I didn't get much into Mules. I have a few. Some of the few ones that I thought were more important.

Hi YKSpydiefan and All,
Sorry to be late to the party. If there is one thing that we understand at Spyderco, it the ever changing high cost of living. Even more so nowadays. We feel it every day. That's why the entire Mule Team project has always been a Consumer Direct venue. No dealers, distributors, handles or sheaths. Just a piece of the stuff, cut, ground, heat treated and sharpened. Even with that method, some get expensive.
Budgeting is important, especially now and if you've got a family, it makes things even more difficult. Family is always first. It doesn't cost much to talk about it here. Many here share their thoughts.

And we super appreciate the Mule concept. I started putting handles on Mules and now dabble in knife making… but still get super excited for a new Mule in a new steel.sal wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 3:12 pmHi YKSpydiefan and All,

We have supported the Mule Team program since its inception and purchase four (4) of each. Two to sell, one to test, and one for the collection. No other knife company in the world would even conceive of this concept, let alone allocate the funds necessary.
