Still doggedly holding out for the SE I preordered from Knifecentre. Really looking forward to it as the SE magnacut on the Native Salt is absolutely fantastic.

For members in the UK, it's just appeared for pre-order on the Heinnie Haynes website at the very decent price of £112.95. The expected release date is 22/7, so not long to wait!

Nice find Scroff. That’s a better price than I was expecting. 👍

I assumed they’d be selling them for closer to £150 considering the Spy27 version is £124.95 and the S110V version is 157.95.

I may have to reconsider not getting one now… :thinking

Question: If a person is in London and they are not harming others, and the London Metro Police see them with a Spyderco UK Pen Knife, will they have no problem with it or will the user/owner be in trouble?

Spyderco’s UKPK has a blade length of under 3 inches and is not a locking folder.

Curious as to what the non-pre-order price will be.

Also curious as to why HH are calling it hollow ground … “hollow ground, leaf-shaped design”

Anyway, thanks for the heads up Scroff!

Congrats!

It’s good that the box says “MGCT”.

Hopefully, the blade also says “CPM MagnaCut”.

This is great news! I am glad the knife is out. Now, if the powers that be will quit looting the country and the exchange rate will get better I will order one in a flash.

Can Spyderco design a version of this knife that has a type of hidden locking mechanism that under examination no law enforcement officer or authority can detect so it appears to be a non locking slip joint type knife, but in use at the touch of a button a hidden lock engages for user safety, or is that beyond our current capabilities? Mind you the only reason for that would be to allow lawful citizens to have a knife that is safe but legal.

Give the UKPK a try if you haven't. I can legally carry a locking knife, but often chose to carry the UKPK just because I love the design of the knife. To me, it feels perfectly safe without a lock. Between the finger choil and the tension of the forked slipjoint mechanism, I'm honestly not worried about it closing during normal use and don't see a need for it to lock.

You've embedded your response in the quoted text instead of outside of it. Above is what it should be.

Did you get yours yet? Mine arrived from Heinnie today, beating their expected release data by almost a week! My first UKPK and my first MagnaCut, and initial impressions are stellar - looking forward to giving it a ton of pocket time!
