Attn: Sal, K390 = Manix 2 lightweight??

Post by Studiousworkman »

Hello everyone,

Who wouldn't want a K390 Manix 2 lightweight? We would love to see this in our American models and just like the CPM-15V Manix 2, I believe this variation would be a fantastic start!

Thanks for listening and chiming in.

P.S. Sal, I'd love to hear your thoughts, sir! Thank you.

Yeah... K390 is my favorite among all the Spydiemetals. Hmmm... that might be a pretty cool name for a band. However, I'm more interested in the eventual Manix 2 15V. That's what I'm really waiting for.

K390 is awesome and the Manix LW is one of my favorite platforms so I think it would be an amazing pairing. But, as was said, I would be even more excited to see 15V on a Manix LW. I would just be curious to see how the brown FRN comes out.

K390 in a M2LW is a no brainer. It would be a great matchup.

K390 is awesome and the Manix XL is one of my favorite platforms so I think it would be an amazing pairing. Bust, as was said, I would be even more excited to see 15V on a Manix XL. I would just be curious to see how the brown farm comes out.
I think it would have to use the Seki HT protocol, golden K390 sprints in the past have had different properties from seki K390.

k390 is the best steel for those of us who buy different knives to collect steel lol I think if spyderco ever put k390 on their golden knives we wouldn't buy anything else! LOL K390 just WONT dull. I mean it will Duh! but man will it hold a edge. II cut up so much cardboard one day, id say the pile was about 3 feet wide and a foot and a half deep and it still just kept cutting. its like Cruwear on steriods.

Yes and one with CruWear. In satin.
Make them Wharncliffes!
Also Lil' Native Wharncliffe in K390 & CruWear (add jimping on F&B fingerchoil) and lower the price to 130€ each within the EU.
I'll buy all 4. Or maybe a para 3 lw (with metal liners like the delica) in cruwear/k390 wharncliffe.
I still think the manix2 one in toolsteels would be the best in LW (and aftermarket rigid ones when replacing it).
I haven't tried Lil' Native but it seems like it would be the ultimate wharnie if it just got tool steel and a more reasonable price (in the EU). (E: and the F&B jimping).

I've tried the ones in my signature.
Tested: Military2, PM2, Para3 LW, Manix2 LW, Endura4 LW, Delica4 LW, Dragonfly2 LW, Manbug, Ladybug, Native 5 G10-LL, Stretch2 XL, Native5 LW, Sage5 LW
K390, S30V, SPY27, BD1N, VG-10, H1, PD#1, MagnaCut, 15V.
TBC..

Would like k390 on a lot of models, a Manix would be a good one but for me the one I want the most is a Gayle Bradley 2 in K390, Rex 45 would be second choice but feel that steel suits the knife best

Such one would be also be cool (as a Manix CruCarta/Shaman Z-wear alternative) if it was cheaper like 130-170€.
With index finger jimping design. It's more of a beater knife due to its blade thickness than the seki k390 slicers, and has the better compression lock and a more classic handle. I left the black curved line to show the original Lil' Temperance 3 K390 blade shape. This also looks like a dream knife if it existed and was more affordable.

would like it in g10 too, while I love my Stretch and endura k390 with FRN I cant say the same for the Manix LW, absolutely hate how cheap it feels, FRCP and no liners is a night and day difference to my seki FRN knives, Picked up the st nicks 4v manix LW and while I love the colour I hate the scales, AWT scales cant come fast enough. Yet my g10 manix feels incredible, super solid and love the liners in it
