It's fantastic that Spyderco is having these sales. Wish I could attend one. Maybe some day. On the other hand I'm really wondering if there's going to be summer online seconds sale just like the last year.

They were well prepared it was well organized. Way way less knives than the three previous sales. Very few sprints and exclusives. Like maybe 100 total if you don’t count the Ayoob’s. I got a pm2 magnacut which was the knife I wanted, but there were not enough to go around I was fortunate. Only around 40 people in line at opening. I doubt I go next year I costs around $350 for me to get here. The prices were great as always I saw one Paysan one Kapara two teal av90 pm2’s in other peoples baskets. My son saw a Fraden lock para3 but just one. I bought one of those last November. No Shaman exclusives or sprints. Did not see one Manix xl of any kind. Just not much there. Still had a great time bought a bunch of knives.

Happy you at least got a few things. There were very few, if any comments on social media, pretty low key event. Hopefully the November seconds sale and possible online seconds sale will be a bit better.

I didn’t get any pictures, but the sale was smaller than in years past. There were only two groups of tables set up in rectangular fashion and the cardboard knife trays weren't stacked 3 high. I got there at about 0945 and it looked like the turnout was lower, too.

The showroom is still under construction and is considerably bigger now.

I saw a good selection of: Black G-10 Shaman’s, mostly SE and one PE. Green and gray Bow Rivers. Native Chief light-weights. LW Native 5’s, including PE Salt’s. G-10 Lil’ Natives, (slip joint & Compression Lock. G-10 Military, PM 2’s, and Para 3’s, (and LW’s). Ayoob’s and Parata’s. LW Pacific Salts. UK Penknife, including the red G-10 HH. Maxamet Native 5’s or Para 3’s. Swick 5’s or 6’s. Subway Bowie’s. Value Folders. A smattering of Para Military 2 Salts. SPY-27 stuff. One (1) Birdseye maple Chaparral. Murray Carter series knives. Genzow Hatchethawk’s and Warrior Hawks. Some K390 models. Sharpening accessories. And some other pink, Blurple, yellow, and green handled stuff.

One of each and in other customer’s baskets: A Stovepipe, Avocado Manix 2, Coyote tan 10V Para 3, and an OD green G-10, Lum Tanto.

They sold me a regular Shaman S30V instead. Spyderco should be more prepared with want is out and not pull items back at the counter. After standing in line for 30 minutes to check out I was not about to go shop for something else.

Spyderco could have handled this differently. I know I was not the only one this happened to.

They sold me a regular Shaman S30V instead. Spyderco should be more prepared with want is out and not pull items back at the counter. After standing in line for 30 minutes to check out I was not about to go shop for something else.

Spyderco could have handled this differently. I know I was not the only one this happened to.

At least they came up with a S30V instead. I have no idea how they pick and choose to sell certain models online vs in person vs OpFocus in person vs Red and Black online sale vs mystery box, etc. But any which way they do it am happy I at least have a chance to buy some seconds.

1st time going and tried to keep focused on what I wanted, as I know I started to sound-off ,"Where are the SPYMYTO'S?!" there were only 6 and gone before I was 25th in line. They had a table of BOGO of Thin Blue Line series; https://www.spyderco.com/?s=blue+line
The staff were very helpful and so I grabbed Delica 4 Lightweight Thin Blue Line — Combination Edge, Para2 Salt X2, Stretch2 XL H2 salt with spydy edge, Delica4 K390 spyd edge, Military 2 S110V, and one course stone for $2, as they were sold at that price due to the length. To short and rattled in the containers. Their mishap was our gain. I let every Veteran I know in on this sale and future OpFocus opportunity
