p.s. vanka found it first.
Just ordered a Endela K390 yesterday after waiting awhile for this to drop. I wait until Friday mid day and gave up as I did not think they would release it on a weekend. If I had not already purchased the Endela I would have jumped on this. But maybe a good thing, looks like a great knife that will be even better in M4, 15V, etc.

:grin-big eyes I suer hope you´ll share your first impressions... other than the locktype this really looks to be a great "heavy weight" (in my personal categorization) option!

Has anyone who's handled it seen if it could be made "skinny" or if the liners extend too far out for that?

One in the pipeline from Indiana Knives.

I'm the guy who doesn't carry his Shamans because of the way the heel sticks into the compression slot and kicks your thumb out if it was on the compression lockbar.... who would otherwise carry his Shamans quite a bit. So the Bodacious has had me interested since reveal.

I have a Bodacious Plain Edge arriving today here at around 2pm Hawaii time. I’m on Oahu, the island that has Honolulu and Waikiki. Ordered mine from American Edge with 2 day, great people, Jordan was awesome 🤙🏼

I’m the same as others, love my Shaman’s just don’t carry them as much. This is what I ALWAYS thought the shaman should have been soon as I saw the shaman, lol. since I first thought it to myself, only took 6 years later 😆.

Super excited to get this one today. Definitely will post some pics and thoughts.

Just got mine.

It's amazing. Very efficient design - lots of blade for the handle length, brutish supported tip, wide flat blade that is nice and thin behind the edge (not super thin, thinner than most edges on a blade this size). I love the smooth but chalky and grippy G10. It's the leaf shaped pocket sword I've always wanted. This makes my knife-year, although I believe the lightweight Cruwear Temperence will be similarly amazing.

The only thing I don't like is the solid backspacer, I think it disturbs the balance (it's between my trigger and middle finger, could be farther forward) while adding unnecessary weight. I'd love standoffs or a G10 backspacer (I know it would have to have threaded inserts and would probably be more expensive than it's worth) but this is a minor complaint. Maybe sprint runs could have standoffs?

My Military (original of course) is in danger of being retired.

There are a ton of backspacer/spacer options for the Shaman, so I'll bet you'll get options to replace it soon

Meh. Closer to $250 than $300.

But, I will probably wait for a MAP holiday to order.

I dunno, 262 + tax makes it definitely closer to 300, but what do I know.

For what we're getting, I'd had hoped for beveled/chamfered handles. It's greatly improved the Shaman's blade and the kick problem, but removed the comfortable contouring. Sigh.

The price was a interesting at $10 MSRP under the Shaman. The first run of the Shaman was $155 and then jumped up to $180 on the second, stated reason being the contoured scales cost more than expected. That implies the contouring leads to over a $25 increase ($25 plus whatever was originally factored in at $155). I wonder where that cost delta has gone with the Bodacious since it doesn't have the contoured scales

It may be that the high cost of the Bodacious is needed to offset the R&D on another model. Surely the extended Magnacut testing couldn't have been cheap.

I haven't been paying attention for quite a while.

I think it looks like a variation to the Lum Chinese. I'm not sure if I'll be getting one. Maybe if there's a sprint.
