Yes, the S90V Siren was too tempting to pass up.
Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
That's the price knivesplus has had on their sprint Siren since before the sale so no need to rush for it at that priceBrock O Lee wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 4:53 amMikey, my curiosity got the better of me, and I clicked on the darned link... This is true my American friend! But us poor b@stards living outside the US are limited to where we can buy at a reasonable cost. Not many retailers ship internationally or to all countries. We also have to factor into the price:phaust wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 6:16 amThat's the price knivesplus has had on their sprint Siren since before the sale so no need to rush for it at that priceBrock O Lee wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 4:53 amMikey, my curiosity got the better of me, and I clicked on the darned link... - import duties,
- international shipping cost,
- delivery timeframes,
- reliability of the shipping service.
Only when all these stars align at a handful of online stores and the price is right can we score a deal...
KSF has the added advantage for me in that they do not charge me upfront import duties to Aus, which would have cost me an additional 10%. I also had a few dollars worth of credits to reduce the $40 shipping cost. To get this sprint shipped to the other side of the planet for $177 was a steal!

I get so jealous reading this thread, but I also realize that in the end I may be saving money not having access to all these deals. At least that's what I tell myself to alleviate the jealousy

If you don't have one so don't already know, you won't regret the purchase. I just picked up a fourth Siren a couple weeks ago. The CF smoothes out quickly (like any of the US made Spydie peel ply cf), but also it's noticeably lighter than the g10 version, which is no heavyweight beast itself. Plus of course the S90v..

I have a CQI LC200N Siren but not a sprint. The model has grown on me, and I'm looking forward to the S90V version. It is one of my favourite steels.

As mentioned earlier KSF has some sweet deals. Just picked up a Stretch XL Salt for a couple pennies shy of $98.
