What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Was searching for some old trails (actually from the late middle ages) in a pretty remote area today.
Luckily I found a cave to take shelter when sudden heavy rainshowers arrived.
Had my trusty Pac Salt with me instead of Goddard the Great which I enjoyed carrying and using a lot lately. But the Pac Salt SE still remains my number one knife for the outdoors and mountains, as long as I don´t bring a fixed blade.

I am one of those who likes to experience and test his Spydies in the most variety of tasks - including food prep.
Here I (or at least my hands
) can be seen doing so with my Stretch XL SE, works great also in the kitchen!
(The Delica in the pic is not my knife, but actually a Spydie I gifted to someone...
.. and it´s a nice little food cutter too with its thin blade!)

My only and the best Manix I personally can imagine in front of the mountain (though a rather low one) closest to where I live - like 20 minutes per bike, 10 per car. (This is the rather narrow front side, the mountain stretches out quite far in several directions and covers a lot more area than one might think from just this pic).
Had countless adventures up there, cause it is so close - climbing, hiking, caving, trailrunning, sleeping outside under the stars by the fire, searching for forgotten trails dating back to he middle ages, you name it.
But also did quite some work there: Carrying supplies for two mountain huts, helping a bit with construction, installing pasture fences, chopping wood, driving cattle and sheep, shoveling snow....
and almost always and when doing all that stuff a Spydie was with me and helped me out many times!

How did you get a bronze feather on the LynchNW clip? I didn't see an option for colored engraving...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Thanks, Salty!

You know, one thing I like with this particular thread exactly is when people share some background stories to their pics, even if those stories are just remotely (or not at all) knife related.
You actually do this and I always enjoy it!

The "in the pocket today" thread really is the one where off topic does not matter at all - simply cause there IS no ongoing discussion that could get derailed, people can choose if they just want to look at pics or happen to be interested in reading some text, they won´t miss a "topic" in any case.
I´ll share another (old) "Manix and mountain" pic I just found - another Manix (don´t have it any more), but same mountain

Have a good day, Salty!
