Classic to be

This FB03 Bob Lum Fixed blade will undoubtedly will go down probably as the very best fixed blade that Spyderco ever made. IF they would bring this Bob Lum Fixed blade back with S30v blade steel I would buy another one immediately.

That is a great knife. It really makes me wonder why it didn't sell better than it did when it was being manufactured. Of course that is kind of the making of a CLASSIC. It usually doesn't burn up the charts when it is available. But it sure is now and will be for some time. JD :spyder: O

I think this is Spyderco's nicest FB yet.

Ed Schempp's will be a heck of a knife :)

To be honest, that blade looks better in those pictures, than it does in most other pictures. I never even looked at that knife before, but it never caught my eye either. It looks much nicer than I originally thought.

Congrats on your new acquisition.

I'd rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

This Lum appears to be a very fine knife. I would have one on order if I wasn't valiantly attempting to curb my Spyderco consumption at the moment. As I ordered 4 other spyders today, my attempts although valiant, appear to be less than satisfactory.

Cool catch Ammoguy! that's a beautiful knife....I'm resisting to purchase it b/c I realize it'll probably end up on the "display shelf" and then I'd have justification to buy a Kumo as well and therer are too many :spyder: folders that I want to buy already!

Jaislandboy I know exactly what you mean. :D I'm trying to focus on discontinued Spydies as the opportunities present themselves but as you mentioned there are too many current & new folders that I'd like to have as well... ;)

Hey AmmoGuy, I've been trying to collect the Lums from :spyder: but these last few months have been Brutal on the Budget; where I live I don't think I could walk around town with a fixed blade much so I've decided to "draw the line" somewhere and focus on the folders which get carried more. Down the road I'll probably "cave in" and get a Lum FB03 as i'm a sucker for Micarta and the knife is Most Beautiful in my eyes  Great pics, btw!
