EU reliable online knife sellers

#1

Post by elena86 »

For us europeans(EU) reliable online sellers are quite scarce. When UK left EU I lost one of my most reliable shops. I am talking HH. Despite their high prices the guys from HH are a joy to do business with. I am left with only a few choices lately. We must pay premium prices for our spydies anyway which is a bummer. Maybe we could join infos and put togheter a short list with the most reliable online sellers in EU. Since we are here, does anyone know any shops that provide sharpening and /or grinding services on the continent ?

Hi Marius,

I'll start with the obvious and a few others.

KniveAndTools and Lamnia: consistently great customer service, deliveries across Europe and even UK for KAT.

Coutellerie Tourangelle: I had my doubts as I saw a few reviews that mentionned poor customer service that seemed due more to it being a small shop that lacks all the organisation and stock management efficiency that the 2 mentionned above excel at. But I tried it recently and it worked well. They are really competitive on prices and as a French shop, I'll be slightly biased towards them in the future.

Lorenzi (Austria): I bought an old UKPK model by visiting the shop. That was my first and only experience handling different Spydercos directly. Small shop run by people with a real passion for knives. The guy spent an hour talking to me and even took his Sharpmaker out to give me a sharpening lesson!
They deliver to Europe (not cheap at 18.5 euros to France and Poland) and have some decent sales at times.
I just received a few knives from them delivered ro France.

Sharg.pl: someone else vouched for them on the forum and convinced me to order. That worked great. They seem a bit pricier at most times but I got a great deal on a SpydieChef.

I have also used Cqb.ol and got a decent price on a Salt 2 LC200n but I do not know if they deliver outside of Poland.

Best,

Knivesandtools is my main spyderco dealer. Besides them i would also recommend lamnia , knifestore.nl and Böker.de ( they also sell spydies but be warned they ask heavier prices )

Knife Lounge - the owner (Maxi) is a wonderful person and a proper knife nut. They also have a brick and mortar store in Hamburg. She helped me to order Spyderco knives 🍴 n the past that were hard to source.

Coutellerie Tourangelle....

Lorenzi (Austria)...
...

All of those, yes!

Plus for me: https://www.com2you-biwak.de/

Must be a small shop (they are "closed" (online) for weeks sometimes when they areon holidays), but great to do business with and sometimes have sprints in stock when others don't or don't any more (got my REX 45 Manix LW from them).
They usually tend to take a few Euros more than the "big" shops though.

And I also had only the best experiences with Coutellerie Tourangelle (with the other three anyways)

Lamnia did hand pic Spydies for me that were meant to be gifts and I wanted to be sure they'd be 100% perfect (in my own U don't mind things like not perfect centering and stuff like that)

Fumny you'd know Lorenzi! Austrian (my homecountry) dealer, I mentioned them quite recently in the "Crazy good deals European edition" thread.
They have for example still ZDP Enduras i srock.
Top three going by pocket-time (update April 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10), Chaparral SE (CTS XHP)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Endela SE (K390)

I spent 24h in Vienna in May. I googled for Spyderco dealer more for fun than thinking I'd find something. But I found them and they had this Gin1 UKPK in stock for 60 euros.
My wife agreed we'd walk there with the kids.

The guy explained me they just put for sale a few knifes they removed long ago. The amazing thing is it seems they used the old prices.
I was really happy to get a "vintage knife" as a travel souvenir.

As I said above, really nice seller. He let me handle a few knives, gave me a Sharpmaker demo for both PE and SE, had a long chat with me and another customer.

Have a great Sunday.
