I'm interested in a Temp sprint.

I've been getting away from bidirectional textured fixed blades. Not as comfortable in use unless I'm wearing gloves, which most the time I'm not. I'd rather have micarta, G10, kray-ex, etc. One reason I've switched from my Aqua Salts to SRKC's for a small woods knife.

An original t1 design run with a steel upgrade and black micarta would be just lovely.

Not to say that Sal would unleash a failure-prone knife on us, but I’m sorta devoted to full-tangs in fixies.

I like fully enclosed handles on fixed blades. Less issues in cold weather, less issues with corrosion, and the handle shape isn't bound by the tang dimensions.

Agreed, and I’d have no doubt the temp 1 was built strong enough to handle outdoor use such a batoning, but that fully enclosed handle also adds additional functionality as you stated vivi

I wonder if Spyderco might be a victim of their own success here. Their popular FRN-handled folders typically have the bidirectional texturing, so consumers might automatically expect it from FRN-handled fixed blades. Milder texturing might be perceived as being somehow "cheap" and lessening the value / utility of Spydie fixed blades. The fact that such texturing is a potential ergonomic trade-off - increased grip security in some circumstances at the expense of comfort in long-term use - might not matter if people rarely use knives for a long time and primarily view them as cool collectible items.

...Or maybe I'm just overthinking stuff. Spyderco is still making Street Beats and Morans, with their smooth, rubberized handles and hidden tangs. That type of construction could be great for the Temp, though it would require a handle re-design and thus would probably be very unlikely to happen.

But in the end, any kind of Temp reissue would be awesome.

According to Sal, Spyderco is working on another Temperance.

I have my doubts that handle molds still exist for the original Temperance, so I would guess the chances for a sprint run are low.

Makes me wonder if Spyderco would look to design bidirectional FRN scales for a Temperance 2.

Huh, weird - Safari on my iPhone has no issues with them. But then again, mobile browsers can be a fickle bunch. I've edited the URLs in my original post, in case someone else was having the same problem. Everything works on my end, but let me know if you run into any issues.
