Haven't seen much, actually ANY use with these knives. Using mine this week, want to see how the coating holds up compared to DLC and Ticn. Interested if that black streak will come off with some Flitz.

My REC Lil Native has been the closest knife to an actual EDC for me, for over two years now. It has easily become my most carried and most used knife now. I don’t go out of my way to test the limits of the coating but my experience through daily use has been on par with DLC and TiCN.

It is a “TiN” (Titanium Nitride) coating; it is similar to a “TiCN” (Titanium CarboNitride) coating. There are some technical performance differences such as hardness and toughness but the key difference is color.

I’m guessing your knife will clean up just fine. :cheap-sunglasses

Say what you will about China, they export some beautiful things.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.
