Hi, Rocco:
I'm sorry, it's not clear what your question is. What would you like to know about the jimping?

Kristi,

I think he is referring to what is pictured. It was posted on Facebook earlier today.

As you can see it has jimping after the spine turns down.

I could be wrong though…

Well done WilliamMunny ! Someone was referring to the "extended" jimping as secondary jimping. Maybe Rocco wants to know more about why there was some Yojimbo 1s with more jimping than other ? Or where to find one ?
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Thank you, WilliamMunny!
It looks like that was shared by our very own ozspyder back in 2009, viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36892&start=20 (about halfway down the second page). Apparently, it was an anomaly (that happened twice that we can account for anyway).

Rocco, please let us know if there is something else you were hoping to know.

That’s cool that they are so rare. The person on Facebook said he has one from his fathers collection and was looking for more information on it.

Thanks for finding the photo, have not seen that before.

I think I could make very similar jimping with my mill and a tung-carb engraving bit. I've no idea how I could get my thumb forward far enough to make use of the additional jimping, however.

Why not extend the jimping all the way around? Confucius say: "Serrated blade is just jimping on the edge."
