Manix - right size for small and large needs, regardless of the steel

Close second for me would go to the Delica

And I’m quite sure this will not settle anything for once and all (because I for one could change my mind tomorrow 😉 )

That was easy: Endura family for me, without the slightest doubt.
Top three going by pocket-time (update October 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endela SE (VG10), Manix 2 LW (REX45)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1)

wanted to say manix because that's my favorite knife design, but salt is my favorite knife capability. someday, i won't have to choose between them because there will be a manix salt.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

Since the Manix family is more then 50% of my collection i think its pretty fair to say there is no better choice for me then the Manix family. Love it and will always defend it and suggest it to new people.
Personally i have no love for the military family at all except for the military itself but i do not own one because of the size.
The pm2 and pm3 just do not feel good in my hands. It isnt a size or design thing it just me i guess.
The other families most i like but just not love.
And since i have no reason to buy salts i do not have an opinion on those.

Easy choice for me: Salt family.

1) I'm frequently in and around saltwater.
2) I carry my knives when sweating.
3) The Salt family offers excellent variety, from diminutive to large, fixed and folder, PE and SE.
4) It contains some of my favorite knives: Pacific Salt, Caribbean, Waterway... I don't know if the Autonomy counts.

I picked the Native family as you basicly have a small, medium and large.

I probably would have went Manix but there is no smaller 2.5”-3” version unless I am missing something.

Military was a close second.

I don't do these hypothetical what if you can only do one questions. There's too many good models to choose just one. I couldn't pick a definitive "one" if I had to

It doesn't have a family, does it? Love wolves are the reason I put "other". I was limited to 10 poll options and wouldbt list every model even if I could.

Calypso/Caly/kopa family. A shame more knife hobbyists and spyderco die-hards just don’t get it.

Other. Variety is the spice of life, and a huge reason spyderco is such a success.

I tend to gravitate toward pocket knives with clip removed for most carry. Dragonfly, chaparral, delica, native. I also like the police, military, and endura. And a lot of the salts. I prefer back locks to any other, just a personal preference.

I voted Native family, but honestly, I could be stuck with only a Manix, Endela, PM2 or Yojimbo for life and I'd be okay. They're all very good designs.

The Native 5 S90V CF is held as the best Spyderco knife (arguably ofc).
My pros - humpless blade, easy to pull apart and clean, Golden made, unbeatable steel selection, looks awesome, great ergonomics. It includes Salt members, no need to vote Salt. It includes SE knives, that's essential. Last, but not least - the backlock.

the salt series is truly something special. i'd still be carrying $40 crappy steel flippers that feel like flea market knives to me now if it wasn't for the salt series bringing me back to spyderco.

i always say the manix is my favorite knife, but i wouldn't even know it existed if not for the pacific salt, which is also my most carried knife. you can't beat a maintence free knife that can handle all environments.
