Pumpkin blooms and bee

My Grandmother in Southern Illinois would fry pumpkin blossoms up for part of breakfast as a treat . They had huge garden and also the neighbor so there was always more than needed . Dan

I’ve never had fried pumpkin blossoms but if they’re anything like fried squash blossoms then they must’ve been a treat

I haven’t tried squash blossoms so just guessing they would be similar .

Had to put a net over the fig tree cuz the birds get fed enough around here, they absolutely love these things but they can fly down the street now

Oh it was tasty …wish I had enough to make preserves but those dang birds got me this year…I could probably make like three small jars with what is still growing and what I have …my problem is I eat em’ like grapes
