Different Shaman Steels

#1

Post by Brad737 »

Hello, all.
I’m interested in adding a Shaman to my collection. I know the primary steel is S30V, but I’ve seen Shamans advertised with some other steels. Do any of you have a list of all the different steels that Spyderco has released?
Thanks,
Brad

Hey, Brad:

If you search on the Spyderco website, you'll see all the Exclusives we've made of the Shaman for various dealers and distributors. Like all Exclusives, those are/were only sold through those specific dealers.

Spydiewiki is a great resource for things like this:

https://www.spydiewiki.com/index.php?title=C229_Shaman
Wishlist: S290, Vancron, S125V

The more you know, the more you know you know nothing.

If you're trying to acquire one of these knives first try the top 10 Spyderco retailers, you just may get lucky. If you find them out of stock try AZ Custom Knives, and set up notifications for Spyderco Knives! Scour that feed daily and try to snag them in pristine condition from a collector.

If you want a Shaman in a "different" steel the best thing to do is watch here and have the cash ready. There will always be more new releases of that model and you won't need to track anything down or pay inflated prices.

This is the recently release 15V.

I'd suggest snagging a 15V Shaman on the secondary market. Their prices are reasonable compared to the PM2 and Manix in 15V. You can probably get one for the same price as a new S30V Shaman from a retailer.
