Took just under 2 hours of constant refreshing, and I broke it up into 2 orders. Managed it on a laptop with Chrome Browser.

Managed to snag an Ayoob SE Sprint, Cook's Knife, PM2 Lefty, Waterway, and a Bow River. Total: $339.

The Ayoob, Cook's Knife & Waterway were what kept me trying.

Edited for bad math...

Trying again, still cannot connect. Strange how some get doubles & triples and other cannot even get the site to load. Must have something to do with how the network traffic is handled by Spyderco's hosting company.

Para 2 cruwear, Emphasis, UKPK s110v, Shaman s30v and big mystery box. It's a good score for my birthday. It only took an hour to checkout. My personal opinion is the site crashed because of the mystery boxes. Everyone wanted to try their luck with them. A lot of new folks made accounts just because of the mystery boxes. Last November when the online seconds sale was happening everything was smooth as butter. Same thing with the mule for the last year or so.
Glad for you and happy birthday :bug-red-white :bug-white-red :bug-red-white

Update.

After trying off and on for over five hours, calling support twice, emailing support twice, trying a handful of different browsers across two phones and a laptop using multiple unique internet connections, I finally got the following:

Got a Shaman and a 2-knife Mystery Box, really stoked to open the Mystery Box and I've wanted a Shaman for so long! Took me about two hours of violent refreshing on my cell phone but it worked!

I placed two separate orders; wondering if it's worth it to ring up SFO and see if they can combine shipping. But they already do so much for us with these sales as is , I don't want to burden them further!

I got four knives in my cart and by the time I got to the next step they were gone. Got three more in the cart and now after it wouldn't load at all it's empty again. Ha! Can't be upset about it though, the demand is amazing to me. Great for Spyderco.

It took me 2 hours but I just kept hitting refresh until it worked. I got confirmation already.

I got a standard issue Shaman for $95 and a $150 "Mystery Box".

I missed the Manix 2 15V by a hair. What a deal that was.

At one point I had a Manix 15v in my cart - kicked out, waited kicked out, waited - then it wanted me to put in my info again - kicked out …. Every click - kicked out …

Then it was no longer in my cart ……… Hours!

Arggggh!

Finally snagged a Manix 2 Blue BD1 - I presume that’s what it was because I was not going to click again and loose it….

Great sale if you got really lucky - from a systems point of view. Guess all that “social media” advertising worked

well, that's a bummer. i saw that the byrd wings was there and was going to get it if i could ever get the site to work. it's still not working for me, but working just well enough to show the wings is gone. cool. i'm glad some of you were able to snag some good stuff. i'd almost rather pay secondary market prices than deal with this frustration. granted, i'm frustrated by about ten other unrelated things i'm dealing with too, but watching the site fail to load all day is ridiculous.

Tried for two full hours just to load the Manix 2 15V product page. When it finally loaded it was sold out. Gave up after that

Dropped in about 2:30pm PDT. Site was very slow but managed to see what was left. Picked up these two:

Waterway Black G-10 (Without Sheath) $79.00

Massad Ayoob SpyderEdge Sprint Run $100.00

Might have bought one more, but didn't want to push my luck.

Seems there was some sweet deals for the patient and lucky.
If this will be the typical customer experience for seconds sales going forward, I might as well put in the average 3-4 hours required for a successful check out as overtime at work and pay full price. Less frustration and more predictable outcome for the same time invested.

I’m sure this is well after peak madness, but site still running slow for me…

Is this the first year things have been this wild? If so, what’s going on to lead to this demand?

When I was finally able to login AND select an item, it would take forever to reload. the only item left was the Crucarta PM2 but I was never able to actually get to the payment screen and when I did, it was out of stock. Made my wife happy.

Post what you manage to get here! Good luck all! :respect

Shout out to Spyderco for having another online seconds sale. Much appreciated! :bug-red-white

🤣

You can’t be serious. This was the worst internet customer experience I’ve ever encountered. This was not their first rodeo, yet Spydie fans allow this to repeatedly happen.
