Passing on this one, since the size too large for what I prefer to carry nowadays. But really cool of SNK to resurrect this model. I'm hoping for more exclusives that use older models instead of the usual PM2/P3/Manix2/Shaman posse.

I’m hoping SNK does a Goddard Jr. (C18) since it’s more up my alley with a 2.8” blade length.

I dig such resurrections as well.

Honestly, when this was announced, I was really hoping that it would have been the Jr. instead, since that model is definitely in my alley of edc size preference, and I missed it in its original run. Here's hoping that SNK would also follow this one up with the Goddard Jr!

This is an easy buy because I've missed out on all the previous 4V exclusives during the buying frenzies.

Full sized knife in 4V for $125, what a bargain!

^ Indeed. I would have gotten two except my country charges steep import duties for shipments that exceed $200 in value.

I'd buy one but I am on an insanely tight budget for collecting the 6 - Native Chiefs when they come out. Going to take me all Summer/Fall to get them all.

This Goddard blade shape, steel and color combo really interests me! I wish Spyderco had one of these in the mix all of the time.

266/1200 still available as of July 1, 2PM PST. How does this compare to other SNK 4V exclusives?

The mast recent was the Military I believe. Seems like it sold out same day as release maybe two or three hours?

I'm actually surprised how fast they've gone.

It's a great design, in a great steel at a great price so I have one on the way, but I also can't help but think a lot of modern collectors basically see a Buck 110 when they look at it.

Buck still sells a boatload of 110s, nearly 60 years after it was introduced.

I bought 36 of the 120th anniversary sets when my local Walmart had them on clearance for $7.

The "retro" factor was part of the draw for me. I had a gen 1 Endura back in the day, but didn't start to pay attention to Spyderco again until recently. This gives me the opportunity to get something with the gen 3 FRN and clip styles that is also unique without gambling on ebay.

You're certainly correct for my point of view. It looks very Buck-110ish to my eye, definitely retro. That's one reason I purchased this Goddard. Other reasons are:

- Want to try more neutral handles;
- Like slim designs for carryability (is that a word?);
- Appears to have a reasonably tight radius under the index finger for a good fit (not a fan of large radius designs);
- Want to see how choking up without a choil works (and the Goddard looks good for that);
- the Goddard has good ratios for a lightweight nut...a lot of blade and edge for its weight. It's not a weight ratio champ like a UK Pen, but it's very good.
- Don't have any 4V, want to give it a try.
- The red/black color scheme is easy on the eye. Would I prefer a naked blade? Yes, but the black is attractive.
