Does it need to be in current production or can it be discontinued/secondary market? That can open up a LOT more options.
My current fancy pants knife is this polished Ouroboros.
Before that it was this polished Kiwi 4.
See a trend?
I would do either one of those again today, possibly with other smaller G10 models. I bet I could do something pretty fancy with the linerless G10 Native and Lil Native. Also if you're open to older models there is a whole world of classy micarta stuff from 25 years ago that you might like, a Goddard Jr sure is a nice option but probably won't fit into that $200 budget.
If discontinued options are open, of all my Spydercos I'd say the Des Horn is the most gentleman-y
Then there's the Baby Horn (gray one), Brouwer even with original front scale, and Chaparral Sun & Moon.
In the collection : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.
Robin. Finally made an IG : ramo_knives MNOSD member 004* aka Mr. N5s
Good evening all, I am in the market for a “classier” knife. I’m getting married this summer and want to get a gentleman’s knife for the occasion.
I totally skimmed this part. I happen to be getting married this year too, and I got the groomsmen all DLC Cruwear Para 2's with their names engraved and red shred carbon fiber scales swapped onto them, and I'm trying to get a Military to match but so far nobody I talk to is willing to work with the material I want so I may have to settle for just the plain old red/black 4V Military. It's not exactly a gent's knife, but anyone who knows me really wouldn't expect anything less.

i'd expect you to carry a jumpmaster and autonomy to your wedding.

I'm actually on the hunt for a reasonably priced Warrior for cutting the cake, but I may go with a Schempp Rock or Rock Salt, haven't really figured it out yet.
Customizing your knife can make it way better and meaningful. What more can you ask for on your wedding day? I recently made some custom Delica scales. If you have the time and inclination, go for it.
Bonus: Any Chaparral is one of the most practical EDCs you can own.
I agree to a point. My first Spyderco Gentleman's knife was a CF Chaparral. Lotsa blade for the size and the CF makes it look dressy. The Raffir Noble is also very nice. I also like my Pattadese, very classy. Looking for a Baby Horn as well.
First off, thank you for the congratulations! I’m loving the recommendations so far. So many of these I haven’t even considered; the only one that initially came to mind was the Spyopera.

Evil D, congratulations on your marriage! I’m probably going to do ladybugs for my groomsmen—I love the engraved PM2s you’re doing!

What knife is SHE gonna carry? (And where?)
Warty, she has a ladybug! I doubt she’s gonna sneak it into her dress though, so I’ll handle any necessary cutting
The pakkawood Hap40 Delica is really speaking to me—I’m torn between that and some variation of the chaparral. Fortunately, I have a few months to decide.
Tenacious G10 PE, Tasman Salt 2 PE, Tasman Salt 2 SE, Yojimbo 2, KJ Endura 4 D.P.S. 15 VG-10, LadyBug K390, TKJ Jester 20CV, UKPK Salt, Crucarta PM2, 204 Sharpmaker

I have heard that there can be some "chipping" around the cutouts for the wire clip in the Pakkawood. I don't know how common this is. Knife Center is great. When I got my Delica I included a note about having even lamination lines. The shipped the knife with a hand-written note saying they picked a good one for me. They really did. Even lamination lines, nice figuring in the Pakkawood, etc. Just something to keep in mind if you are leaning in that direction.
- Urban in black FRN - disappears in suit pants pocket, does all the little office work you may need, I carry it to work myself
- Brouwer - very elegant, non threatening look, very smooth and one of the most ergonomic knife I have ever had. Looks great with a 3rd party stone-washed deep carry Ti clip (it is a must, honestly)
- Chaparral - I find the handle a little too thin, but it is a great knife, The FRN is quite aggressive, I would probably get the carbon fiber version as it looks most class to me (and would make handle customization a lot easier)
- Centofante 3 - lightweight, elegant, very pleasant in hand, but not deep carry. Good slicer.
Congrats to the OP and everyone else getting married!
I don't like how knives carries in dress pants, so I mostly don't. If I wanted to be somewhat discrete while still making the knife a central piece of my outfit, I'd might have wanted to try a Police tie clip if those can still be found.
The CRK Mnandi mentioned earlier would be my top pick if I was a bit more gentlemanly a bit more often. It's a bit much to chew for a one off occasion.
