Sage 5 Wish
Sage 5 Wish
Really hoping to see a Sage 5 in MagnaCut. It’s be even better if it were the LW pivot busing, but with a handle in firehose Micarta. Sound good to anyone else?
Re: Sage 5 Wish
Oh yeah. Love all things Sage and feel like it's often forgotten except for BladeHQ exclusives now and then. Really the Sage 5 is almost a comp lock version of the Native. I'd also like to see a return of some of the other Sage versions also since I missed out on many of them.
Re: Sage 5 Wish
I’d take either of those two handle variations in the Sage 1 or 4. The 3 doesn’t appeal to me and I’m not a huge frame lock guy, so the 2 is out AFAIC.
Re: Sage 5 Wish
a few of us have been hoping for a sage salt for a while. i'd definitely be interested.

Re: Sage 5 Wish
I’d probably buy it. I’d also do a Sage 2, with a micarta inlay on one scale.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Would love a Sage Salt
Re: Sage 5 Wish
I've adopted the Sage in place of my much missed Caly 3. So, yes, count me in for a MagnaSage.

Re: Sage 5 Wish
It seems like the Sage 5 lightweight (so not Micarta, but FRN) is becoming a platform for various steel options indeed.
There is S30V and M4 already, and recently Eric confirmed that they are planning one in REX 121 (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=89252&start=20#p1710930)
So I figure MC could be in the future of this model too, though I don't know if this steel is general in plan for Taichung knives.

Top three going by pocket-time (update April 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10), Chaparral SE (CTS XHP)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Endela SE (K390)

Re: Sage 5 Wish
Not so similar they're interchangeable; just the closest replacement for the 3" Caly I can find. The leaf blade itself is fairly similar. The Sage overall is taller, takes up more pocket space, has more handle for its blade, sticks out of the pocket farther so not as concealable. Both very comfortable in the hand, IMO.

Backlock. Yes.
Re: Sage 5 Wish
I couldn’t charge my card fast enough if there was a Sage 5 LW in MagnaCut

Re: Sage 5 Wish
All i want is for the Sage series to continue (forward) with a Sage 6 already.

I'd definitely buy a Sage 5 LW in MagnaCut or CruWear!!!
