When Life gives you Lemons
make some Lemonade!!!!
This is a rookie mistake...I should have not been prying with the tip of my Bow River. Snapped right off...I absolutely know better because my very first Spyderco was a DLC Tenacious an did the same thing trying to remove a shower molding. This time it was a bucket of frozen bate fish for Crawfishing...
First time doing an amateur grind job.
I kind of like it!!!!

I think I'd take it all the way down to a nice leaf shape.

Yup
that is the first thing I thought about when I stuck it in the sheath.
Lol
That is a great Idea. I will post a picture when completed.

First off, great job on the restoration. That knife looks sick!
Second, I think it's time to get yourself one of
these bad boys . It's saved me in many similar situations.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Yes, I'd also prefer the pointier tip of that leaf and eventually go for it - but just from the looks (and not a practical point of view) the blade shape the op created is cooler imo

Looks very nice. D's suggestion is also good. I'd try to make it look like a santoku.

But it seems like he could use all the metal near the tip that he could get

THAT is a good point, maybe leave it blunt

I wouldn't have known the knife was "damaged."

Definitely turned out looking great. Very nice work. However, I think I do also really like the blade shape Evil D posted
