Yeah, man that thing looks nice. I should just go ahead and buy one.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Ok I gotta ask: how do you like the Microtech?
I’ve been thinking about getting one but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Can it do everything you need it to in an edc role? Do you feel like a badass using it?

My Victorinox electrician seems to fill the pocket for non knife related tasks.

Haha. Badass some times lol. They are super snappy and make a great self defense tool. As far as edc tasks. I’d say normal stuff yea. Now whittling a stick. No. But I like it. This is an utx85. I’d get this size or full ultratech. The 70 is like a bic lighter size. Also mine is M390. Now they have magnacut. It may suit more needs.kennethsime wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 10:57 pmOk I gotta ask: how do you like the Microtech?

Thanks! I'm definitely looking at the full-size. I think that if the Axial Shift were available right now I'd just jump on that. Otherwise the full-size Ultratech looks pretty sweet.Mrj wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 6:32 amHaha. Badass some times lol. They are super snappy and make a great self defense tool. As far as edc tasks. Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Ive had several ultratechs and I can tell you that microtech makes good knives, but with any OTF you have to be careful not to drag a bunch of gunk back into the handle when retracting the knife. However, I have carried both microtech and Benchmade OTF’s as EDC knives and have never had any issues with either.kennethsime wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 12:08 pmThanks! Looks like you have a course edge with a micro bevel on that too Shannon. Are you using CBN to sharpen or the WS belt sharpener?
