It would be super rad if there was a Matriarch2 with a steel handle of some sort. Stainless or Titanium, Even G10.Personally I’d buy a Titanium handle one. I know it would jack the price up, Don’t care lol.I love Spyderco knives, always have. But I've always hated the plastic handles. I feel a design like the Matriarch deserves a bomber steel handle.
This is the PE Lil Mat blade swapped into the stock Ti Delica scales. It’s an amazing knife in this slender setup.

Thank you Sal! We appreciate that you are listening!
Agreed. Appreciate that he's always listening. I'm absolutely down for a waved version as long as it has teeth. Or I'll buy one of each if the options are available.

When these arrive, they might make the Bento version seem like a bargain. There is no way these are returning at the same MSRP that the last year of production carried, especially not with some of the steels you guys are asking for. Figure on $140ish to start with VG10, $180+ for K390. Japan is just so expensive these days.

Your basic Delica is $90 street currently. I don’t remember the Lil Matriarchs being that much of a premium over the sister Delica at the time. They differ only in the blade and the logo embossing in the handle molds. The latter is optional — just call it a Delica Reverse S .
I’m glad I grabbed one years ago. It’s one of those knives that just looks cool in photos but is only so useful as an EDC. It works, but it’s not that great compared to most of Spyderco’s portfolio. It is, however something uniquely Spyderco. They basically made the Civilian family a niche style of knife.

I beg to differ, love the 3 I own and use them daily (some of my most used). The lil's vs Matriarch and Civilian are quite different, the "S" of the lil isn't extreme and is very useable as an EDC knife unlike the other two which I consider defensive or "fighting" knives.
Edited to add
I love the the lil please bring it back in back SE and PE but mostly SE :)

Sorry, my price estimates were MSRP. That means the $88 street value mentioned earlier is no longer relevant. Besides, these would be one to two years out and who knows where prices will be then?

I’m pretty much set for my daily drivers, so I sense a slightly increased motivation to expanded my horizons and try out designs like these when funds allow. So very different from what I’m used to and quite intriguing, but without a very obvious use case.
A salt version would probably tip the scale for sure and make it quite irresistible.
