Back in the pocket this week. Surprised how easily this brown G10 is beginning to show dirt. I figured they would mask it pretty well. Easy enough to clean them up, just an observation.

so nice. mine was supposed to get here yesterday, but it's stuck in memphis. i need to find some of those putman scales too.
I may swap mine to this one, though I would also like to keep it as is. This steel is something else, even holds that peak sharpness that typically disappears after a couple cuts...it's still got it a few days after a quick touch up and continued use. Very impressed!

I see a lot of people talking about how uneven their grinds are, I must be one of the lucky ones as mine are around 16-16.5 dps.

Carrying my Lil Temperance3 and my Ikuchi today. Thicc and thin, I think they’re a good carry combo.

This is from yesterday, but it’ll be he same today. The Frontier Valley needed a touch up last night, so it spent a few minutes on the sharpmaker.
I really dig that little LTW.

I carry it with the neck sheathe that runs on the ball chain. It is definitely bulkier than the ARK I usually carry. My goal is to carry the Subway for the entire month of January 🤙🏽

Figured K390 would be as good as any steel to tackle the post Christmas cardboard.

Wasn't as impressed with the edge holding as I expected, to be honest. It lost all shaving ability despite putting a 2,000 grit microbevel on it that tree-topped. But the overall design sure is nice to work with.

I’ve been carrying my K390 Endura the past few weeks.

Image

This was my EDC for several years with VG10 but the K390 edge just keeps on going.

I thought the Native Chief dethroned the Endura but now I’m not so sure. The Endura just works for me.

Went back to one of the staples - S110V PM2. It’s been a go-to for a couple years for me.

Frontier Valley. It is the bee’s knees, and a great little EDC.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

My Bugout is usually my bike knife, but the Tenacious LW was close enough today. It’s been raining non-stop the last week, so today was a nice reprieve!

Dang, you're making me antsy. I haven't ridden outside since October. All smart trainer riding since then. Which keeps a bit of fitness but sure isn't much fun! That looks like a fantastic area to ride.

Kissed it with the brown rods last night, 5 passes per side and back to sticky sharpness. I've tried a lot of different steels in the warehouse over the years...this 15v is truly something special. Can't wait to give it a full sharpening, but at this rate...it's going to be a while. Love this stonewash finish as well.
