- That it uses a wide lockbar cutout, as used on the Crucarta PM2. It's much more comfortable, and works better with gloves.
- That we get sprints, exclusives, and other variations soon. I'd love a K390 Millie 2, and/or a Crucarta Millie 2.

Re: Military 2
I have 2 chief hopes for the Millie 2 at this point:

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Re: Military 2
I'm unlikely to buy a Military 2 unless they change the design from the huge lanyard hole of the Para 2 and 3. I'm not sure how they ended up with a lanyard hole used by less than 1% of users that so severely compromises the pocket clip used by more than 99% of users. I'm guessing at the statistics, I only know one person who uses a lanyard and he is a sailor.
What would be really great is a wire pocket clip with the tiniest lanyard hole ever, for those who actually use one.

Those who actually use one need one big enough to get a line through without a microscope and tweezers.
Re: Military 2
My hope is we see a DLC version within a year of the satin version releasing. Those are close enough to salts for my uses, based on how my Yojumbo and DLC Millie 1 perform.kennethsime wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 11:36 pmI have chief hopes for the Millie 2 at this point:I have a third hope, which is that RGT will produce aftermarket micarta scales for it ASAP - but that's out of Spyderco's hands.

I've been more into kitchen knives than folders and edc fixed blades the past few months, but the two I'm watching like a hawk are the PE Swick 5 and Military 2. Buying both ASAP, as they both appear to be big improvements over the older versions for me.
Re: Military 2
The BIG question is : are they going to release the Millie2 in spyderedge ???

Considering the Shaman is, I'm betting they will. I'm a little baffled by the decision not to just go ahead and do the current Military, at least in small batches.

Re: Military 2
Got quite the use of my regular Military models throughout the summer. Looking forward to this one for the tip up carry option and the compression lock. If executed as well as it is on the Shaman, when it comes to the strong detent, it will be a huge win.

And I for one would be happier with this steel then S30v. That said I guess I will also be camping out sometime in the next two to three years for the Cutlery Shoppe exclusive in Orange and CTS-XHP!
