I don't know if anyone else has had a similar experience, but I've been exclusively carrying the Ayoob with me at work (and around the house and everywhere I go) and, as a sweaty guy, I'm super surprised that this hasn't shown any signs of rusting. I've taken it out of my pocket and it's been soaked with sweat for a good amount of time and still no rust. What's that all about? My z-wear shaman, which is supposed to be decidedly more rust and corrosion resistant than cruwear, has shown specks of rust here and there. But still, nothing on the Ayoob. Not complaining at all, but what's the dealio? Does it have something to do with the heat treat? Is it me?

I just wanted to thank JD Spyderco and the other forum members who were involved in getting this bought back to market. I have wanted one for years. I looked and looked when I saw they were going to be a Sprint Run. No luck anywhere at typical big name companies. I learned here of Sooner State Knives, which I had never heard of. Was able to pick up two SEs before they went out of stock. My favorite Spyderco by far and I own a few. Thank you all.
I can't tell you all how thankful I am that so many of guys are coming out of the woodwork for the new Sprint Run C-60 Ayoob model. I got a strange feeling that you've been here before "Lamont Sanford" :cheap-sunglasses

And believe me you're not the only person I've run into in the past few months that has told me that they have been looking for a C-60 Ayoob model for years. But thankfully we've got that one in the books. And I hope everyone who seriously wants one of these Cruwear, Sprint Run C-60 Ayoob models will be able to obtain one.

I hope the demand is so great that they will have to produce more of them in the near future>> in SE & PE both thank you very much.

You really have to appreciate the Lil Temp being tactical without looking tactical.

Well, I accepted fact that I'll rather skip this one because lack of availability at local dealers in EU. That was attack from nowhere literally and 24 hours later here he is.

Chillout with other "tactical" Spydies.

Have in mind that this one had few mods done by me - acid stonewash, custom disc, ricasso. But even stock Talwar is cool knife, almost same weight as C60.

Nice pic. Funny thing, my piece, has one screw slot blind on lefty side. Probably small layer of g10 left in hole, I don't care because I won't use that position for clip.

Did some testing of the Ayoob 3.0's shallow SE pattern against a roll of carpeting.

Happy to report that while the SE seems quite smooth, it still has a good bit of bite and cutting aggression, allowing the Ayoob to cut through sturdy home carpet with a single pull without any snagging.

Therein lies the beauty of mellow serrations. There are surely scenarios where spikey serrations are better but I haven't found them in my daily use and have seen nothing but advantages to mellow serrations.

Does anyone know how many Ayoobs were made in this batch?

Was it 1200 total like a normal sprint, or 1200 PE / 1200 SE?

Also, does anyone have a line on a PE model in stock anywhere?

I just touched up mine on the Gauntlet. The mellow SE flowed across the stones almost like a PE, much less 'jumpy' transitioning from scallops to scallop like some of the other SE knives I've sharpened.

My model seems to be ground at a proper 20 degrees or so for the SE portion, while the tip is a thicker angle.

I would like to know also. I would also like to know out of that batch how many they made with the "snaggletooth" before they realized it and fixed it.

Yeah I asked that same question a few pages ago. I haven't heard any reliable numbers as of yet. I'm sure the information is available if you keep looking. I'm willing to bet that the information is available if you find the person involved with shipping and inventory control.

If they only did 1200 units of the Sprint Run C-60 and equal amounts in both edge types they sure won't last long on any dealer's shelf. I'm willing to bet that they will sell so fast that it will warrant another run of this very successful Sprint Run.

Thank you so much, my buddy and I both snagged one right before they sold out.

If it weren’t for your links I think most of us would never have gotten one, so thank you.
