Not dropping the gauntlet. Back to the top. Sorry I missed your brief appearance here, Officer Fozzy.

Well, I never saw this thread 1st time around, glad someone brought it back.

I'd love to see this happen. Buying unique gifts for people is something I like to do and I can think of at least 3 of my good friends who boat/sail who would be getting one of these next holiday season, that is if they materialize.

He, he, since when I've been praying for a glowing Jester... A Merlin would be even better. :) I was thinking that green or yellow would be more visible, but orange is OK.

Sure - why not, I too would buy a glow in the dark spydie, for my wife, so when she goes diving into that infinite purse of hers, it would light the way.. and we could see it at the bottom...lol

but seriously I wouldn't mind getting her one for her b-day.. she is more into shiny than I.

I missed this one, dunno why?!

YES, frn glow in the dark Merlin, where do I sign up? Make mine with serrations and an oversized hole (like the Salt). I don't care about the color, but would toss in my vote for either orange, yellow or green.

We've decided to go ahead and make a hawkbill Salt. Colors will more than likely be consistent with the other models (black and yellow). Opening hole will be enlarged to match other Salts. Plan is for late '05.

But Since you guys are in the "Glow-in-the-dark" (GITD? ;) ) mode, what about starting another thread on helping me design a GITD accessory to fit any of our knives? Where? What?, size, fastening method?, cost? etc. A "Group invention"

Great news! But is it going to be a big or smaller knife? Like a Merlin or Spyderhawk?

Oh, man...a yellow Salty Hawkbill!!! Gotta get me a few!!! Maybe a black handle for the display case, too.

I'd buy One heck maybe Two. One for a EDC and one for the climbing harness.

The Tasman Salt, a hawkbill in H1, will be released at some future date. Hopefully, it will be available in marine yellow like my supercool Atlantic Salt. Also, hopefully, plain-edged versions will be available for Hannibal Lecter, The Deacon, JD Spydo, and other uber-players. A spyder-edged hawkbill with marine yellow FRN or orange glow-in-the-dark FRN, well two of whichever mentioned, will be more than good enough for me.

thombrogan, thanks for initiating the thread and update.
Missed it first time around, but caught up now, with branched thread idea from Sal re: GITD :spyder: accessory.
