Thanks!! Too cheap to pass up.
Agreed! Historically I haven't needed a SE spydie, but I'll find a way for it to get some use. Maybe it will become my fishing companion or car blade.

Same. Always nice to have some stashed in good places. I almost grabbed two but, in my opinion, I showed great restraint with one.
You can never have too many…. That’s how we got here right!?

Indeed!
This forum is the gateway drug to a very large Spyderco collection. Like the little devil is sitting on my shoulder saying:

The rescue 3 switched to a ffg a couple years back. I just dont think any of the pictures got updated.
So unless its old stock it may not be saber grind.
Also as a side note the rescue 3 has a very nice frn handle. It, to me, just feels better than some of the other frn handles.

I believe it was old stock. They had both versions listed on their website and only the saber ground was at closeout pricing.

That would make sense, especially since it specifically called out saber grind in the product title.

Can confirm. The date code on the box is from 2017.

Interesting. Mine was “LL” which I believe is 2012. I was shocked at how old it was and also impressed it was perfectly smooth after a decade on the shelf.

That's better than it was. It is now the same price as their Endura Exclusive.

A BF member is selling lots of vintage Spydercos including an Ayoob, Walker, Centafante... not sure if it's a crazy good deal yet, he hasn't posted the prices. But it's nice to look at, and maybe this will interest someone. Cool to see the various box designs too.

Edit: Post taken down probably for him not posting prices.

Murray Carter Super Blue knives are on clearance at Cutlery and More. Just picked up the Bunka for $199.

That is a CRAZY good price. I already have the Gyuto and the Bunka knife, so I had to buy the Nakiri!

Thanks for sharing. Grabbed a Nakiri. Wanted to buy all the styles but others would be redundant in my kitchen. Peak self control.

Thanks, Dazen. I also managed to snag an Itamae Bunka, which are now sold out. Perfect timing because i was just debating a purchase of one of these with myself the past few days, vs the BD1n variants. I have had the hots for some Super Blue for years and this was just the ticket.
Currently looks like there are only 5 Nakiri left and that's it for the clearance Itamae.
