I've had that photo idea before and I think I probably have some spare impellers lying around somewhere. Is that out of a Morris Pump?

Nope, that's from Sulzer. But yes, it does go to a pump. As you can see, that one was well worn and was out in our boneyard. One of my favorite places to wander around and take pics!

This forum is better off without a like button. Catering posts to garner likes can quickly turn into toxic behavior and this forum does not need that, in my opinion.

I have my K390 Delica Wharnie that showed up yesterday. I was a bit disappointed when I took it out of the box bc it was not as sharp as I would have liked, but 20 swipes per side on the white SM stones, then 2 light swipes at 40° for a microbevel got it shaving sharp. Can't wait to cut something, this is my first wharnie blade.
You should never have to ask yourself "do i really need another knife?" The answer is obvious...

It's property maintenance day so I'm getting a bit of woods time with the Schempp Cruwear Tuff and the Bradley Bowie.

Image
Now that is a very interesting combination. O would love to hear how do you find these two in use. I had the Tuff, but doomed it as too thick and sold it.

I don't necessarily think the Tuff is too thick but it is in a strange folder middle ground. It certainly not as good as a fixed blade for heavy tasks and while I think it does slice fairly well for it's thickness it's no Chaparral or ARK.

It does manage to strike a pretty good balance in accomplishing a variety of tasks and there is something about heavy duty folders that really resonates with me. Neither is a good everyday choice but I just love throwing a Tuff or Adamas in the backpack or pocket for long days in the woods.

The Tuff was fine for minor wood processing tasks, opening a couple packages, and cutting up a couple apples at lunch time.

As for the Bradley Saturday was my first day using it. It held up great to some carving, a decent bit of chopping, and I even used it to baton a little bit despite thinking that's a fairly foolish knife activity. Feels great in hand and the edge held great to everything I tossed at it. I look forward to some more time with it.

Advocate and a long awaited Doubleshot

Off topic side note:
These double shots have been my daily vice for a few years. But last year there was a huge recall nationwide, and haven’t been available since. And they’re finally back after 6 months gone from shelves!
