I have a Sharpmaker 203. I've read the instructions, as well as the Sharpening FAQ's on BFC. I'm not an idiot. But I'll be darned if I can ever get an edge that I'm really happy with. I practice on old blades but it seems like I end up with nothing left but the hole and never have that hair-popping edge Golden delivered. Is there any way to get the instructional video that comes with the 204 without having to go for the whole new set? Maybe if I could actually see it done, I'd get it. (Or finally accept that I'm sharpening impaired.)

Hi tortoise!

Think you should give the folks at Golden a call. I'm sure there are some spare video cassettes at the SFO. I was hoping for Video CDs for the instructions because I haven't operated a VCR for more than 8 years... <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Got an e mail today from Joyce! Problem solved. What with taking care of the customers it's a wonder Spyderco has time to make knives. Thank you!
